A little fabric-works.
If you want to see some very nice miniature EPP (English Paper Piecing), check out this blog-- beautiful work. Here is my latest, intended for the country house:
These hexagons were about 1/4" to a side. Used some of my favorite scraps.
Wanted to make a little wing chair, like the ones I made for the country house- forgot the details, so had to work them out again. This is for a lady at work who is retiring soon. 3/8" dowel was a good size for the arm rests; 6 layers of foamboard gave a good height. Probably should've trimmed the fabric on the sides so that I could get a good glue joint, but the back cover takes care of it.
The back rest is a piece of cardstock, with batting layered on similar to the way Kris does it for her upholstered chair. The back cover is a bit of a custom fit, so cut the piece liberally to start.
Now with a bit of "piping" (cord), and a pillow from Amber's tutorial, and a little jointed teddy bear that I made back in 2011, apparently (!):
I think she will like it. Just a little something.
Edit: just want to mention that this red pattern is one of my favorite fabrics in my stash! Actually I wish I could've used it in the country house, but it just didn't quite go with the color flow!
