I know, I have been quite here on my blog. It's because I have started back working on a fabulous house. I am doing the Brimbles Mercantile kit by Greenleaf Dollhouses for a customer of mine. It's not much to look at right now but, here are some shots so you all can see it. I love the wallpaper colors. I love just about every shade of blue!!! The shade in the wallpapers the customer gave me just looks wonderful.

I added the first coat of paint on the roof. It's watered down Burnt Umber. I use a very wet brush when I add the burnt umber to the house. This took 1.5 hours. Yeap I will NOT paperclay the Garfield (that's what I say now right <_< )

Kitchen & Dinning Room Wall
I added the Kitchen and dinning room wall and the front wall today. I am waiting for the hardwood floor to come in. Once it does, I will install the floors, then move forward

I finally got the first shipment of things ordered. This one had the floors. I installed, stained and then I made Henry Sand them. I stained them again because the fumes were too strong for Henry. After that, I put 2 light coats of Varnish on them. I also stained the staircase. For the dinning room entryway & living room I used 3 floor sheets from housework. That's right 3 sheets. The 3rd shet I used only a small part but it did take a lot of sheets.

I have now added stone to the attic room. My customer wants the attic to have a Castle feel to it:
This is the fireplace and tower room. Henry is in the process of cleaning up his mess. He has his tools everywhere
Supplies you need are: Extra Wire (you can buy here)
Light Fixture or outlet Rosin Soldering Flux (You can buy it at radio shack click here)
Soldering Wire ( Radio Shack click here )

First You need to remove the Plugs from the end of the light fixture or outlet you wish to extend and straighten the wires like this:
Cut the wire (From your extra wire roll) to a length you need so you can attach it to the end of your fixture and strip
The tape is holding everything together while the glue dries. I added ceiling paper so that this room would look upclass
Now the next 2 walls need to be put on. The pipcture shows these walls added. Of course there will be trim but that always goes on last :wub:
The kitchen is pretty much almost finished (missing the back wall but I can't do that until I start the 3rd floor). I used wood at the bottom of the walls because I think it makes the walls look even taller Laura pi
I wanted do something different to the Primerose Cottage again so I wanted to add more light to the upstairs so I added a dormer window. I also wanted to add more hight to the ceilig so I took some foam core and added 3 inches right where the slots to the floor begins. After thinking on this, I decided to use Gatorboard because I was worried that the clay would warp the foam core:

I added the porch roof to the outside of the house. It was simple to do. I used Quick Grip glue because of the Fast hold.
Henry here, also started the masonry on the outside of the house and the main tower. I am thinking I should use the upgraded windows for this house and those will be installed after all the bricks and stones are finished. I also made the roof to the tower pointed. The clay is drying on this side while I do the other side.
I started adding clay to the foundation and then decided to add the base. I don't know why but I am avoiding the start of the shingle process . I guess it is because I want to do square Butt Wood Shingles But then again, I like the Clay ones. Doing the foundation and base gave me more time to think about it.
I added and applique to each side of the stairs and then one above where the circular trim pice fit in.

I have been to the museum so many times but I could not remember actually "Seeing & Appreciating" the Casstle (I must have seen it while I was NOT into miniatures).

Well, After Henry got the call from his father, he decided to come to work and Henry is up and working full force tonight! First, he fed the wire from the Kitchen light to the second floor. He drew a line where he would like to cut so that he could create a Channel for the wire to go. This is for the kitchen light. He made
You may have noticed that the front tower roof is "Pointy" on my Pierce because I Altered it. To add to the uniformity, I altered the back tower roof to make it "pointy" also:

This scene has everything you need to make your miniature scene complete! This scene has a hand made pink climbing rose that is climbing up the side. There are hand sculpted & painted stone that has moss growing in the cracks to add that extra level of character. The "iron" gate has a verdigris aged finish. This scene also has a little blue bird taking in the beauty. There is also a purple flower tree growing along the other side of this scene. The Lion Head Fountain scene has water pouring
Keep doing this step until you are completed with covering the entire base. For those of you with bird baths (etc) please add sheet moss all around it and press firmly so that you will see the bottom of your bird bath or feeder or whatever you have there.

Now we want to start adding flowers to the back of the fence. Please take your Fern and cut it to the size you want it to be and add glue at the wire of it at the bottom. Th
