A Caveat!

I take no credit for the basic idea for this project! Step 1 - Measure the Foamcore

Rather than work with big pieces of foamcore, I just measured the depth, cut a long piece, then measured and marked wherever I needed to cut. Since my Willowcrest was already together, I took this opportunity to take the cellar windows off the house and cut openings in the strips for them. I also made little notches that would butt up against the steps.

Step 3 - Horizontal Scoring

Using a metal ruler and the back of the X-Acto knife blade, do the hoizontal score marks. I just eyeballed the spaces, rather than measuring the placement, but it's your choice.
