And this is the master bedroom with all the trim now installed! Still need to make the bed up, and some cushions for the sofa/chair, and also install the carpet.
Notice the sweet lamp on the bedside table? Well turns out it isn't staying as I decided not to electrify But got a lovely bunch of flowers there now.

Next to work on is the attic. It is going to house the lounge with tv, and the teenage daughters bedroom. She'll be sleeping on a futon which I have yet to make. Her ceiling will be dark blue with stars on. I've made a built in shelving unit - the tall bit will have hanging clothes in it, and the bottom of the shelves may be made into drawers. Not sure what else to put in her room.

I like the colours in the bathroom. Found a washing machine to put in there too, and it doesn't take up too much room.

Found some cool wallpaper in a scrap booking shop, so decided on that for the passage. I originally had the closed stairs in there, but they took over the room too much I thought. So made some airy gapped ones instead!

just have to do some varnishing of the counter tops and doors/drawers. There will be a 1 1/2 sink above the double doors, but saving up for it at the moment.
Also haven't done any of the trim - ie skirting/cornice bits yet.
These are my cabinets... Blue cabinets, and at the moment light wood doors. I've got the light wood counter top, but not sure about the doors. I think I'll score the doors to look like they're made out of wood slats like these, but not 100% sure about the colour. Will probably get used to them and like it soon! I decided to build the kitchen cabinets from scratch. I designed them and then built them from basswood. This was great fun! I am proud of what I've done. Next decision though, before I put the doors and drawer fronts on, is what colours to use!

Well haven't posted in a while, but haven't really done much either! I painstakinly cut out all the parapet scrolls. They took forever! Now I've also painted the roof black in preparation for shingles... quite like the dark look, but also curious to see what lighter grey would be like as that was the original idea.

The parapet that comes with the kit is just a plain rectangular strip of wood which I thought was a little boring. So I decided to make it a bit more exciting by changing it to scroll patterns. I blew up a picture of the scrolls from above the door and am in the process of cutting it all out. As I don't have a scroll saw, it is taking forever, but its getting there. I think this tool will be the next on my wish list!

Well my mitre box arrived, but the balustrade was out of stock. So I sawed the trim and decided to make a balustrade myself. I bought a set of round pencils for £1 that didn't have any writing, paint or logos on them, just plain wood. They were cheaper than buying dowling! I measured and cut each one in half to give the posts. Using skirting board I made the top and then had to figure out how to glue it all together. The best way was to make a little hole in the pencil and glue a bit of a cockta
Yay, got the lights in the post. I installed them into the dollhouse and plugged them in and they all went dark. :yes: After help from the lovely people on the Greenleaf forum we decided that it was the transformer that was a dud. Haven't made it to the shops yet to see if I can exchange it.
However as I could put the lights in, it meant that I could also finish the flooring. Originally I had thoguht to glue the last floor boards down, but then realised how difficult it would be to access
Here's a picture of the front. The two panels have been glued together. The trim hasn't been finished yet, I'm waiting for my mitre block to finish that before painting it. Coming with the mitre should be the balustrade for the balcony too, and once that is fixed I can paint it all and glue it on.

I've been slowly building up my bricks. I've got one more spray paint session to go, the bit on the sides where the side of the front panel is seen. Have to blend it so that the bricks all match up. I'm thinking that it will be easiest when the house front has been stuck on, so I can line it up exactly. Will mean that I'll need a bit of help carrying it out, but I'm sure Chris will help me!

I rushed home today, it wasn't raining!! I got to spray paint my windows and door, and started on the brickwork. It is slow work though, have to wait ages for it to dry before i can move the stencil and do the next section. But I have patience, well i'm impatient, but I'll have to wait! And it stinks! The brick work paint is ok, but the normal white is very smelly. Have to leave stuff outside to dry, but it is so cold it doesn't dry well. I'll do another section this afternoon before I'm away fo
Well this morning it actually stopped raining!! Of course this morning was also the busiest time this week where I've had the most urgent work to be done. When it was finally done the rain was back of course. Added to a miserable fail in Englands Euro 08 qualifying bid, not a great day. I did stick together two more of my table legs though for the bed side table - hopefully they'll be nice and dry tomorrow and I can glue the top bits on.

I decided it would be nice to have a bit more of a entrance way, so am looking into maybe creating a georgian looking balcony above the front door, supported by columns.
