(((Hugs))) Holly šš I know several of you all here don't have Facebook and would want to know. She posted most of her newer stuff on Facebook. Her family said they are going to delete her stuff there in the next few days. It feels good knowing that her stuff will still be here. -

It seems she didn't tell anyone outside of her family and those super close to her. I adored her little cottages she made from your kits! Especially her squirrel cottage šš Sending you (((Hugs))) -

I believe she painted it white and then used spackle mixed with more white paint on the outsides of the house š -
Since I know some of you are not on facebook, Itās with Great sadness that I post this on the forum today. I just found out last night that we lost a long time Greenleaf friend, Linda Larsen, Greenleaf username - pin1056 . Iām still in shock because all of us, outside of her family, didn't know she battling an illness until her children (her āloveliesā) posted on facebook š. She adored each of them very much and was excited to welcome her granddaughter 1.5 years ago. She was still ālikingā and āpostingā comments on Facebook until last week. Here is the link to view the gallery of some of her many mini creations . She absolutely loved Greenleaf dollhouses and Blyth dolls! She downsized her dollhouse collection a few years back and revamped her Beacon Hill because she couldnāt part with it. She was very kind and so helpful when ever someone needed help with their dollhouses. She was humble and didn't like a lot of attention. I know many of us are going to miss her sunny disposition and her spunk. š

Thoughts while putting together a dollhouse
Minis On The Edge replied to rodentraiser's topic in General Mini Talk
Kelly, your post made me giggle I guess we all have parts of building that we totally dislike doing. I totally dislike adding shingles to the houses. Sure, it makes it look great and finished but I just donāt enjoy it as much as I do the other parts of building a house. Sanding is the 2nd thing I totally dislike doing. -
Searching for Mckinley windows

Emily, have I told you recently how much I Love your house!?! Gosh seeing it makes me want to open another kit (maybe half scale like you did). I Love this! Sanne, I hope you are able to get your missing parts soon! Itās such a fun house to build! -

I was trying to figure out why yours looked different than mine. I forgot, I changed the wall to the kitchen so that my client could decorate it the way she wanted it. I agree with Emily! It think you just need to add a little more force to get the wall in place. You can see my blog post about the change I made to it here. http://minisontheedge.blogspot.com/2011/06/mckinley-dollhouse-construction-blog.html

No problem. But, is that wall upside down? The red parts I marked in your picture are the tabs and slots I think goes together

Is it upside down? It kinda looks like it is.

Kathie B, I agree! I was thinking that maybe the owner built it. There are quite a few famous people who have dollhouses and miniature collections. I read an article the other year that was full of pictures of Rod Stewartās train collection. He built and painted all the buildings himself also! I was really impressed because he built the entire thing while touring over the years.
