Hi Miniaturists, I had expectations of getting into painting and decorating dollhouse furniture, but it's just not practical right now in my life. I have several rooms of wood furniture that I'd like to sell. All furniture is in its original box but I've taken some room photos so you can see it all together. 4 piece bedroom includes double bed, side table, dresser and blanket chest/toy box. 3 Piece Craft Room – Armoire, work table, stool and tiny thread spools 3 Piece Office/Den – Bookcase, table, chair, will include book and picture frame 4 Piece Modern Dollhouse Living Room Set – sofa, upholstered chair, coffee table and ornate armchair *Note: the upholstered furniture does not come in boxes. If interested, please Message me Thank you!

So when you say print your own, do you mean like on a regular home printer - or do you take it to a copy shop? It seems like it would be too flimsy. Thank you for your help!

Thank you all for the great info and tips! I don't have any real life wallpaper so I thought I'd use it in my dollhouse.

I have found the wallpaper selection to be very limited and was wondering what thoughts anyone might have on the following: 1. Mod Podging scrapbook paper on my walls 2. Mod Podging fabric 3. Is there a good place to get more contemporary wallpaper scraps to use. Any other tips or suggestions? Thank you!!

Thank you for the great references! I just requested from the library 3 of the books mentioned above. Last weekend I picked up McCall's Big Book of Dollhouses and Miniatures. They have detailed templates for a few houses. The Victorian template is quite elaborate (in my opinion). They lost me with some of the more childish, felt projects, but I guess you could say there was something for everyone.

they will treasure that dollhouse forever! Great job. -
I love that your dollhouse is a tribute to your grandparents! And that you named it after your grandpa. Yes, definitely a garden roof!! So thoughtful, Rebecca.

How old were you when you started making miniatures?
dollhouse.love replied to KathieB's topic in My First Dollhouse
My grandfather worked for a lumber company and had a dollhouse built for me. I was probably about 6. When I visited my grandparents I'd get to play with it - which didn't seem like very often. So on my own I made things for my dollhouse. My favorite was weaving rugs. My mom had a lot of embroidery string, which I'd use. I made a loom out of a soap box. This would keep my occupied for hours. -
Wow, Thomas, impressive. Real windows! I love how your story is one of collecting and evolving. Dollhouses are always a journey.

Found A Dollhouse, Fixed It Up, Need Help!

I love the creative suggestions for the rooms. What about a school room? I know when I was little like Ruby was in awe of school and wanted to recreate the school scene with my dolls - just a thought. You could also take into consideration things Ruby loves and maybe do a "pinkalicious" room for example. How exciting for you! -
Hi, I'm Cristin. I have always been obsessed with furniture, home decorating and room design. I am funneling that love into dollhouses, where I can design, decorate and display on a miniature scale. I also am very crafty but have not put enough time and talent into making anything for my dollhouse - so I welcome the group's inspiration!
