  1. Thank you very much. This helps a great deal!
  2. I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out my Foxhall Manor instructions re: the hinges on the bay panels. Does anyone have a close-up pic of the hinges and corresponding bay panel hinge strips assembly? The diagram in the instructions is just not doing it for me. Thanks!
  3. Beats me! I don't really know much about FB Marketplace and how you check sellers/buyers out. Leap of faith? lol
  4. RGT "Queen Anne" I haven't been building for a while and am itching to start again. While looking around for a new kit, I ran across this on Facebook Marketplace. Looks like a steal to me, especially considering that RGTs retired it in October. I've always loved this house but I don't have enough room to build it: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/631035541653060/?hoisted=false&ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A15dce021-abf5-4abe-a2e4-864b726d1fc6
  5. At first I thought she had blood splatters all over her face and neck but when looking at the seller's other dolls I see that they're actually meant to be moles. ha ha
  6. A Visalia for $200- https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/clt/d/mountain-view-dollhouse-victorian-wood/6841506484.html
  7. Oh, I love her! I'm jelly donut, for sure. She's beautiful!
  8. I think she does do custom orders. I just spent some time googling her email and finally found it so I think I'll contact her and see what she says! Yeah, the title of this thread is accurate. You all are a terrible influence!
  9. I picked up this 1:48 cuckoo clock last weekend at the southern california Tom Bishop show. The level of detail that can be obtained with laser cutting these days astounds me!
  10. That's funny how we start out thinking dolls are creepy and then eventually we want one. lol. I've been searching for one, too, ever since I went to the Good Sam show back in October. Cat Wingler had a few 1:48 dolls but, unfortunately, she had just sold her last victorian lady right before I got to her table so I was out of luck. If any of you know of a good source for quarter scale dolls I would love to know about them. Congratulations on your purchase, Deborah. I'm looking forward to seeing how you incorporate her into your incredible mini world. Sometimes dolls can look (creepily) amazing in dollhouses!
  11. This is a steal for some HOM kits: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/art/d/emeryville-miniature-furniture-kits/6827508381.html
  12. I think I may have purchased a 1:48 scale fireplace from you on eBay. It's so hard to find anything with detail in this small of a scale, I was happy to have found yours. It's not finished yet but this is what I've done so far with it:
  13. Wow, how cool is that?!! What a fantastic surprise!

What a great way to design a spiral staircase. I can't tell you how many hours I spent on googling info that was overly complicated. Next time I make one I'm modeling it after yours. Looking forward to seeing your finished design.
  15. It's very sad that yet another miniature store is closing but might be an opportunity for locals to find some good deals: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/clt/d/santa-rosa-pegs-dollhouse-is-going-out/6812889771.html I've never been there myself but it seems Emily found a few really cool buys there back in 2011: http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/?app=forums&module=forums&controller=topic&id=29112
  16. The house I'm working on now is a 1:48 scale from Laser Dollhouse Designs and I absolutely love it. Like Emily says, there is no sanding or prep work involved which is nice for a change. I'm not sure what type of wood it is but it's light, sturdy, and good quality and I'll bet that Greenleaf uses the same type of wood or similar. My husband bought this one for me for Xmas and, you're right, it was at a steep cost (something like $170-) but I am so happy with it. Totally worth it, in my opinion.
  17. I've always wanted to try this method but haven't gotten around to it yet. His results are spectacular: https://englishmanordollhouse.blogspot.com/search?q=black+marble

Oh my gosh, they are both so cuteeee, I could dieeeeeee!!
  19. Awww, that story warmed my heart. I can imagine how happy you must feel.
  20. Your work is amazing. One of those instances when nobody would know it's miniature if just looking at the pictures. Gorgeous.
