  1. Finally decided to sell this dollhouse. I have gone back and forth on it for quite awhile, but I would like to start building some new things and I think I need to clear some space both physically and mentally. Ebay listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/122989687636
  2. Thanks Kathie! I will ship that out tomorrow morning, if not later today!
  3. Thanks so much otterine! I follow your blog and shop, so that means even more coming from you!
  4. Doing a little research for my Etsy shop: Are there particular accessories you had a really hard time finding, or finding in the quality you wanted? Are there items you tried to make yourself and weren't happy with? I'd love some feedback on what you might want to see in my shop. Stocks are a bit depleted at the moment and while I have some things in the works, I also want to expand a bit. The thing that has surprised me the most is the number of custom orders I have gotten for raw chicken breasts. This wouldn't have been something I would have thought to regularly stock, especially given that the raw chicken legs I offered once never sold! http://etsy.me/2nHsjGD
  5. Anyone going to be there? I have never actually been to a miniatures show and am excited to check it out.
  6. I have been working the last few weeks on improving my camera skills and retaking some of the photos for my shop. Finally though, there are also a few new items posted. Come on by! http://etsy.me/2f9MetH
  7. Treehouse, it says. Very sweet. I also love the view from the stairway.
  8. Oh me too. I am always a fan of farm houses. Funnily, my childhood dollhouse was about this same shade of bright yellow.
  9. http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/atq/5799251616.html Something about this house is really charming, don't you think? I have a bit of a soft spot for handmade dollhouses....sort of an outsider art thing.
  10. So, I have been working some on the house; thought you all would like to see. I have repainted it in a more traditional color and, deciding that it is suitable for the Savannah Georgia area I have been adding some details and age that seem appropriate for a warm, damp climate. I am working on moss for the bricks at the moment. Anyone have good moss tips?
  11. https://www.etsy.com/listing/468224178/112-scale-miniature-dollhouse-roast Here is the link for my new roast turkeys. I was quite pleased with them. More holiday items coming in the next week or so.
  12. http://rockford.craigslist.org/clt/5753836421.html Saw this today, thought it was an interesting house.
  13. This listing is worth checking out. I ran across it today. It is an unusual little house. http://rockford.craigslist.org/clt/5753836421.html
  14. Fwiw, the artist of Nunu's house is a he, not a she. Tomo Tanaka is his name. He has a couple of books and I believe sells at miniatures fairs in Japan, exclusively.
  15. FarmerMarketMiniFood is having its grand opening sale on Etsy this weekend. 15% off your total purchase with coupon code GRANDOPENING. Come check it out! https://www.etsy.com/shop/FarmerMarketMiniFood?ref=ss_profile
  16. Ok, for all who had good comments and advice. I am keeping the house at least for now. I have repainted the exterior white and aged up the shingles a bit and I think I am going to do a two story addition off the kitchen side. The upstairs addition will be another bedroom and on the first floor I am deciding between a sunroom and a single car garage. I am leaning toward sunroom.
  17. No, i totally love hearing everyone's opinions The kiddos are both girls, 4 and 2 and the older one is pretty fascinated by the house. The kids aren't in the basement much as that is where my studio space and my husband's workshop and office (one and the same, really) are.
  18. http://etsy.me/2biavfQ Still new at this and adding more listings steadily. Come by and browse!
  19. So wish I could see the show in person! Has anyone been to the Museum of Toys and Miniatures in Kansas City, on the UMKC campus? I was there last fall and thought it was wonderful. Well worth the trip if you are in the Midwest.
  20. I do actually have the rails for the balcony. They are in a box. I think when my parents put it together they were just friction fit. Of course over the years everything has dried or warped just a tiny bit such that none of them fit properly. It will take some fiddling around with!
  21. Yeah, I am strangely unsentimental about a lot of things. I may work on it a bit, but I'd rather someone else enjoy it. I will likely build something else with each of my girls and let them pick what they want. Right now, they have this house that I literally found on a curb and cleaned up and painted.
  22. Ok, here are a couple of pictures of the house I am on the fence about. If you would all be so kind as to ignore the surrounding basement mess ;) It was at one time fully furnished though most of that is in boxes. I chose that alarming yellow color when I was probably 10.
  23. I am open to custom orders, yes. I am new at this and still figuring out some of the features (tomorrow's task, figure out how to make shipping free on additional items). The main issue with the house, other than size is that it's basic style doesn't really appeal to me any more.
