    wow

I can't believe I have been off the boards for so long  , just been busy I guess. If any of you get the chance, go to the GA aquarium in Atlanta, go early, 8 or 9 a.m. It was great!!! I tried to talk my husband into letting me bring home a cute beluga whale but our tub wasn't big enough (ha ha) they were my favorite. The whale sharks were awesome too. Talk to yall later.
  3. The fires are still going on in South GA North FL. Smokey here in Valdosta Cough Cough
  4. happy birthday everyone :monkeydance: :monkeydance:
  5. Now that my BD is over kinda, wow........ out to eat with my hubby Sat. Tonight his family wants to take me out and next weekend we are combining my bd and my 5 yr old niece's ballet recital and going to celebrate. But I will be careful and would like to do this in may 5lbs.
  6. Oh Thanks everyone!!! My DH and I went to Waycross (yep, where the fires are in GA). I had to see the house where I grew up. I needed to see that it was still there. I knew it was, but needed to see. The fire was within a few miles of it. The fire covers a HUGE HUGE area. Only 19 homes lost and no deaths. Small injuries to a few firefighters, God bless them. As we drove along we saw a few houses they couldn't save. And then so many with yards burnt soooo close to the houses. A firefighter was killed in a wreck a few months ago I guess......on the highway we traveled. There were floral crosses where it happened. the forest and area on the road were burned where the crosses are, but they are FINE!! An amazing site. But the best part of the day was seeing my dad and my 95 year old spunky grandaddy. We live an hour from there and today smoke is rolling in. They are hoping that the wind will blow the fire into the Okeefenokee Swamp, the fire will actually be very good for the swamp, it will burn out all the undergrowth and clear the waterways.
  7. Hi Everyone, I just got the upgrade windows for the fairfield. I know that the flat pieces of wood are inside window trim, bur what about the little square strips of wood? What do I do with those. I am sure this will be a V-8 moment if someone can tell me. I am planning to stucco the outside, do you think the stucco will make up for the windows sticking out???? Thanks for your help. Happy Easter
  8. mine was mailed on the 24th and I just got it in the mail and it is dry fitted. I bet in less that 5 mins. I  it . It's adorable. I am taking my niece to her grandma's spring break and we will let her decorate it. I know the birds will love it too. Thanks everyone. Thanks Keith for letting us know they were on the way.
  9. Lumberjacksgurl, I was thinking the same thing as I came to your post. I will have to show this to my husband. I told him I was going to order another one. He asked where I'd put it. I told him in a drawer and he looked at me like I was crazy. I will order a 1/144 when it is half off. I would love other big ones but just no room. My two unopened are: Alexandria Newport
  10. Thank you Greenleaf for the Birdhouse entry prize. I was excited to see an email that it has been shipped.
  11. My Sam and Smokie both eat dry food. I went to the vet this a.m. to get Smokie more food and a lady was in there with her little dog. The secretary asked if the dog ate wet food and the lady said yes, and a brand on the list. The little dog has to stay at the vet and get checked out. You could see the poor little dog "penny" wasn't feeling good.
  12. Congratulations everyone, all did a wonderful job. so creative.
  13. I agree the prices are high, for me it's mostly inspirational like lisa r said. Some of those pieces I have never seen. Tuesday Morning had the (Harrods, I think)Store front room box with minis inside. It was 50$$
