I definitely hate miniatures. No no no! I was just kidding...bad joke I know. I love miniatures and anything Victorian.

Corrugated Paper Find In An Unlikely Place
mariawicz replied to More Minis Dollhouses's topic in General Mini Talk
That's a great find. Plus, Panera's delicious so that's a win-win. -
If it's an iPad, you may be able to print the screen by using these instructions: http://www.tabletpcexpert.co.uk/how-to/print-screen-using-ipad/ Pretty much, you hold the power key and home button at the same time. Then you can forward the photo to your desktop and print.

This wasn't a dollhouse, but on Million Dollar Listing NY, one of the realtors commissioned a scale replica of the condo building he was selling. The model was all basic wood and glass for windows, but no extra details besides some little trees and grass. Anyway, it cost $100,000! Had me thinking I should get into the model business. Also, here's more pictures of the Gilmore Girls dollhouse: http://smehreen-dollhouse.blogspot.com/2007/01/dollhouse-on-gilmore-girls.html . That was SUCH a great show.

I also use my iPhone and iPad as it's more convenient to upload on the internet or send through email. Unfortunately, the camera quality isn't too great. The auto-enhance, HDR setting, and photo editing apps do help out a lot.

I recently posted about this on my blog since I wasn't sure if there was a post here before, but I just think this is the coolest thing. A company in Berlin, Twinkind, 3D replicas of you in 1:12 scale: http://www.wired.com/2013/08/this-company-will-transform-you-into-an-incredibly-detailed-3-d-printed-figurine/ You have to go to Berlin which is the bad part, but it would be so cool to have a mini-me in your dollhouse. http://www.twinkind.com/en/landing

I vote for the extra piece as well. It gives the house a nice realistic touch.

You did an amazing thing, and I can't wait to hear updates. I too adopted my dog from a high-kill shelter, and hes my best friend.

I'm doing the fling and I'm going to finish it. This is the mantra I keep repeating because I'm still mad at myself for not finishing last year's Creatin' Contest.

I definitely vote for some form of stairs, whether illusion or a staircase. Depending on the style, you could do a spiral staircase to save space. Or, and this is very out-of-the-box, an "elevator" if your house is bigger.
