Heidi, Big gravel is good, so is fine chickenwire, also foil. I have many house plants. I make sure I have no toxic ones or grass like ones in case someone decides to take a bite. A squirt bottle with plain water is good if you happen to see him digging too. My cats hate foil so if they claw or go where they shouldn't that stops them. I would not use mothballs because they can be toxic to pets and people. A layer of coarse orchid bark,potting media, that you get at Home Depot or Lowe's might work too. Let us know what happens.

Gayle, Lynette has filled some of those hutches and sold them. I think hers were filled with Christmas or Halloween items.

Heidi, I agree with you and everyone else that she should continue in school. It is very, very difficult to earn enough money on your own to pay entirely for college. I'm speaking from experience here I have also known many who have tried and given up It sound like her parents want her to have a degree in something she can earn a living with rather than just a fine arts degree and that is a good thing.

Holly and Ann I so agree with you about this war. So does my son who has been in Iraq and will soon be going to Afghanistan. My son has been in the service for many years and still has five more years to go. He was in Bosnia also. Peggi, I understand how you feel about your DD. Hugs
