New York Times article: "A Hobby Best Kept Small"

Yea I was pretty stoked to be mentioned in that article. Thanks for remembering me, Lyssa! Here are the other Etsy makers: LDelaney: http://www.etsy.com/shop/LDelaney PixiePacket: http://www.etsy.com/shop/PixiePacket LittleThingsByAnna: http://www.etsy.com/shop/littlethingsbyanna Support the little guy too! -
Your dollhouses are one of a kind and are award-winning so I personally find the prices acceptable (not that I can afford it or anything). I do suggest listing them in other venues with a miniatures community or abstract art community like Etsy and Artfire to broaden customer base.

A dollhouse AND a doll blog! Awesome! Love your Blythes and Dals. Hope they find it a happy little home!

I agree, the dollhouse is in wonderful shape. I can see how it was hard to say no to that! And I feel your pain. I've 3 1" scale houses and one 1/2" house under construction, and one 1" on the way. Something about the warm weather makes me want to get more DHs!

I changed the exterior of the house just a bit!

This is exciting. I've been eying a few items and kits from DHE but was hesitant to purchase due to the shipping costs. Time to start saving up for them. I agree with fov. There will be problems if they can't ship to California. Hopefully they can find alternative ways to produce those pieces. Also as a micro business making DH stuff, the laws and regulations from Cali does worry me. I have several customers (great ones too) from cali and it would really hurt if I can't sell to them!

Amazon also sells them - the 8oz and the 16 oz. I'm a bit surprised the prices between the two sizes isn't all that much. Weird!

I'm interested in seeing pictures of the show if anyone has them. I had planned on going, but had a graduation to attend and family over that weekend *sigh* I'm really hoping to make the handcrafters of miniatures show in Dedham in November, even though it is smaller.
