my name is dave, and i live in tacoma wa. i am 53 years old, and have always been a hobbyist. i decided, since i love woodworking, that i was going to build a dollhouse, from scratch. i was determined to not buy anything, other than basic building materials. i ended up buying door hinges, and stair spindles. ( bought a lathe, and tried to turn them myself, made some nice spindles, but couldn't duplicate. what a learning process, found out many things that will make the next build much easier. i am married, and work in construction. i am also looking for another dollhouse enthusiast in my area to share thoughts and ideas with.my first build is a victorian plan i found on the internet. i altered it some, and have tried to build everyting to scale.
