  1. I usually clear coat it with spray paint
  2. Yes ma’am! Any good hardware store has them and I keep a good supply on hand because I use them for so much
  3. I’m not too keen on x-acto knives either-I never could work well with them. I like the utility knives as well as razor blades
  4. Welcome to the forum! I haven’t yet built the Beacon Hill but I plan to start mine in February-March. As to glue several people use wood glue, especially in the south (because of the heat). I have a preference for tacky glue but also use wood glue. In regard to primer, I never prime the house until the base structure is done-mostly because I don’t know what I’m going to do until the base structure is done (brick, stone, siding, paint etc). Havanaholly will tell you to read the instructions first and I totally agree-read them a couple times and familiarize yourself with the boards
  5. Welcome to the forum! I look forward to seeing your Creekside cabin!
  6. Indeed they are. Your post didn’t mention Greenleaf store having them so I totally missed it. I just recently bought some of the hex shingles for a project I’m working on and I’m excited to try those. I’ve used straight ones before and loved it
  7. I think Greenleaf store has those in the speed shingles
  8. Being a "builder" myself I'd go for a spring theme. I build more stuff than I "create" stuff, just the way my brain works. I'd love a spring swap. Or maybe Mardi Gras, if I could figure out something to build for that....
  9. Welcome to the forum! I’ll also begin building my Beacon Hill in February
  10. Think of a theme and let me know if there’s enough interest
  11. Welcome to the forum!
  12. Welcome to the forum! I love the village kits!
  13. Anyone get the November/December 2023 NAME Miniature Gazette? I'm in there....
