If you hid a wireless bluetooth speaker in the grotto, you could have your mp3 player connected wirelessly from anywhere in the room...

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anybody out there has ever tried customizing an artist's ball-jointed mannequin into a dollhouse doll? They are pretty cheap on Amazon and come in a variety of sizes including 5.5" and 4.5". The heads are ugly, but I thought maybe they could be paper mached or sculpted over? Thoughts?

Hi guys! I remember seeing some AWESOME fairy houses, especially ones in trees or with mushroom furniture... but the only ones I'm finding now are the fabulous ones by Wycked Wood. Can you guys help me find more? You see, I work at a library and my boss and one of my co-workers are building a tiny fairy house for our children's summer reading program. Any pics, links, or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

My adventures in dollhouse doll making. I'm creating an Edwardian family, made from soft sculpture and loosely based off of the Waldorf Doll Style. I used old pantyhose for fabric, an old pillow for stuffing, Brush On Tacky Glue as a stiffener, unravelled acrylic yarn for hair, and markers to darken their faces.

I didn't have a pattern for their bodies... I just rough-cut the shape and sewed it. For their heads, check out these directions: http://pinterest.com/pin/478296422895237792/ and http://naturalkidsteam.com/wordpress/2010/03/make-small-waldorf-doll-part-i/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/29184580@N04/3531233237/in/set-72157617798912890/ and http://www.motherearthnews.com/nature-community/pantyhose-dolls-zmaz81ndzraw.aspx?page=2 I didn't follow anything that closely, but I did base it off of some tutorials I looked at. Feel free to check out my whole album and get ideas. I tried to take pictures of almost every step in the process of making them. -

Dollhouse Clothes Patterns

I actually borrowed that book through interlibrary loan, over a year ago. I didn't have my dolls made yet, back then. I guess I need to get it again! :-) -
What favous scene would you like to build in miniature?
thinkinlikegavroche replied to a topic in General Mini Talk
OR I'd love to do the "Red Room" From Jane Eyre. I actually created an altered book that has scenes from all my favorite classic books. They aren't dollhouse scenes, just layered cutouts for the most part. I should post a photo sometime! :-D I did the scene when Jean Valjean takes the bucket from Cosette at the spring, Jane in the Red Room, the little mermaid, the little matchstick girl, and Rebecca about to throw herself from the tower in Ivanhoe.
