I did enjoy Halloween as a child, but it has a different feel these days. Perhaps it's just me. I have been wondering what I'm going to do this year. My oldest son, who is seven, has weak teeth and does not get to have candy often, and even then, there are only a few kind he can have because he has several caps. It would seem cruel to have him go trick or treating to collect candy he is not going to be allowed to eat. And since he can't have candy, it doesn't seem fair to allow his little sister to eat it either.
Last year we let him dress up and pass out candy at my mother's house, but I wish he could have more fun. I think that this year I might try to find a Halloween-alternative party to go to. Do they still let kids dress up at those?
