  1. Hello everyone,

I am forced out of hiding with this contest! I thought I'd have more time to play online after I graduated, but I seem to have less time than ever! But, I just can't stay away from these little contests.

A quick update: I graduated with my M.S. in Counseling Psychology in December and I passed my licensing exam in February, so now I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Intern. I can drop the "Intern" part and be fully licensed once I've completed another 3,000 hours of work.

I've got my kit ordered and my idea brewing.

It's so much fun to pop back in and see so many familiar faces!

    Karen

  2. Wow! I am so sorry to hear about such a rough night on top of everything else.

    (((((HUGS))))

I hope Bob gets better and everything works out alright. There is just no way to know what other people are thinking when they do something like that. I hope they find out who it was.

  3. I am wearing my favorite outfit - bluejeans and a denim workshirt. I love denim. But if I am actually seeing anybody that day and need to look professional, I wear dark slacks and a nice shirt, perhaps a jacket. I'm not crazy about dresses, but I'll wear them for church.

  4. Drybrushing means painting VERY lightly without thinning the paint down with water.

You start with a good sized dry brush and dab the end of it in the paint and then wipe the excess off on a paper towel. Then with a light touch, you quickly brush the brush tips over what you are painting, mostly catching the edges and raised portions. It is similar to putting powder on your face with a make-up brush. You will need to have a basecoat of another color on whatever you are drybrushing before you start because drybrushing leaves some of what is underneath showing.

  5. Dean if I send you a box while return postage can I have a Beaumont??? Pretty Please!!! :shaun: I'll even send boxes for other people too ( they have to pay there own postage though) ! Lord knows I have enough boxes right now.

Ooooh, I like this idea. If we send in our old boxes, can we get "refills"? :dunno:

All kidding aside, I think that running the kits without the fancy lables for online sales would be a great opportunity for Greenleaf to "test the waters". It's all in the name of market research, right?

  6. Wow....I finally got to take a look in the gallery today! I cannot believe the river of creativity that winds through our little community.

With each new page in the gallery, I couldn't believe what I saw. So much beautiful work. And I finally know what I want to do with my other kit - I loved the beds I saw.

    <eyes glazing over>

  7. Hi, all!

I've been nose deep in school work, but I finally got the inspiration for my arbor I had been waiting for. I had assembled it the day I got it and it has just been sitting on my desk ever since. But, I know what it's going to be in now - and it's not an arbor, afterall!

Think black! :p This is so much fun. I can't wait to see what everyone else has come up with.

Now, time to get back to writing a paper about Schizophrenia. Did you know if you are going to become schizophrenic, it will happen before you are 35? Just two more years and I'll be in the clear! Whew, one less thing to worry about, right? ;)
