Greenleaf's 2nd Annual Spring Fling Contest
shutterbugkc replied to Mini Man's topic in Site Information & Feedback
Whew! I just sent mine in. I put it off until the last minute, but I'm so happy I got it done! After looking at what everyone else has done, I was a little embarrassed about my simple little shed. You guys are amazing! Karen -
Greenleaf's 2nd Annual Spring Fling Contest

Hello everyone, I am forced out of hiding with this contest! I thought I'd have more time to play online after I graduated, but I seem to have less time than ever! But, I just can't stay away from these little contests. A quick update: I graduated with my M.S. in Counseling Psychology in December and I passed my licensing exam in February, so now I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Intern. I can drop the "Intern" part and be fully licensed once I've completed another 3,000 hours of work. I've got my kit ordered and my idea brewing. It's so much fun to pop back in and see so many familiar faces! Karen -
Wow! I am so sorry to hear about such a rough night on top of everything else. (((((HUGS)))) I hope Bob gets better and everything works out alright. There is just no way to know what other people are thinking when they do something like that. I hope they find out who it was.

I am wearing my favorite outfit - bluejeans and a denim workshirt. I love denim. But if I am actually seeing anybody that day and need to look professional, I wear dark slacks and a nice shirt, perhaps a jacket. I'm not crazy about dresses, but I'll wear them for church.

Drybrushing means painting VERY lightly without thinning the paint down with water. You start with a good sized dry brush and dab the end of it in the paint and then wipe the excess off on a paper towel. Then with a light touch, you quickly brush the brush tips over what you are painting, mostly catching the edges and raised portions. It is similar to putting powder on your face with a make-up brush. You will need to have a basecoat of another color on whatever you are drybrushing before you start because drybrushing leaves some of what is underneath showing.

Dollhouse packaging?
shutterbugkc replied to Minis On The Edge's topic in Site Information & Feedback
Ooooh, I like this idea. If we send in our old boxes, can we get "refills"? All kidding aside, I think that running the kits without the fancy lables for online sales would be a great opportunity for Greenleaf to "test the waters". It's all in the name of market research, right? -
 Happy Anniversary!!! My, how the time goes by!

Congratulation on your house! I hope the warps come out easily. Good luck!

Yeah! My Robin's Roost was waiting for me on the porch Saturday night. The kids want to help me put it together - they are excited! It is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Thank you! -

Congratulations, Peggi! I just got around to reading my newsletter today - it was fun to read a little more about you. How nice of your boss to acknowledge your award. He sounds like a very nice man, especially for letting you use his ties for curtains! -

Wow....I finally got to take a look in the gallery today! I cannot believe the river of creativity that winds through our little community. With each new page in the gallery, I couldn't believe what I saw. So much beautiful work. And I finally know what I want to do with my other kit - I loved the beds I saw. <eyes glazing over> must...make...heart...arbor..bed -
Need some serious help with WIRING!
shutterbugkc replied to MiniDoxLuvr's topic in General Mini Talk
Just a note - be careful pushing the pins back in. I broke a plug once with my pliers (I shouldn't have had the pliers on the plug anyway) and it snapped. You really don't want that to happen. -
Happy Anniversary, Dean!!! Have a great one!
