About Me
Way back in the day I began a love affair with miniatures with egguery. I made some that were really beginner level, but moved on and made somethat were rather good-- all for gifts for family and friends. I collected the Olszewski Oz miniatures, managed a craft shop on Kodiak Island when my family was stationed there, worked on needlepoint and cross stitch (the smaller the stitch the better!), and tried my hand at various crafts through the years. THEN my dear niece Rbytsdy (the very same Greenleaf blogger!!) showed me in person her workshop and her projects! Wow! I loved what I saw and thought that maybe I could try my hand at making miniatures. I was thrilled to find and explore the smaller options--1:24, 1:48, 1:144. I started by purchasing a Cynthia Howe Christmas hutch because of all the skills I would try out, a Laser Tech Aunt Em's 1:144 farmhouse because of course it was Oz, and a 1983 Gudgel built 1:144 for inspiration. I am now hooked.
