  4. I think it could be a Strombecker ......This site is awesome for finding antique houses.....http://www.mckendry.net/DOLLHOUSES/1890s.htm Thanks for sharing the pictures. https://www.blurb.com/b/10335570-strombecker-dollhouses-and-furniture-1931-1961
  5. Sounds like an adventure to me. Do you some pictures of what the main structure pieces are made of? We could narrow it down for you.
  6. Here is a video that explains it......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cu-mb2ayJn8
  7. Have fun! It was a free house, and since you don't know if all of the pieces are there, just have fun with it. Now, If you want it to be like the picture, it will definitely be more than a weekend affair. Here is a blog that may help you https://moreminis.blogspot.com/2017/09/the-fairfield-dollhouse-half-scale-blog.html
  8. Use the Aileen's turbo tacky glue and a a couple dots of hot glue to temporarily hold until the tacky glue dries completely. Sometimes you just have to get creative with clamps, clothespins etc.....It won't be done in one day. You will need to let sections dry.
  9. Pay a visit to the Micro Mark site....great place for hobby tools.
  10. Both of those antique lights look like fire hazards! Maybe they are so antique that they originally were gas lamps!
  11. Hello Mardee Your granddaughter is one lucky kid! I hope to build some dollhouses for my future grandchildren.....fingers crossed!
  12. I have seen some Loren Korff houses, but the one model I have seen does not resemble this one.....I would suggest you do a search with that name. https://herber.us/steve/miniatures/korff_miniatures/
  13. I like your new avatar! You look very dapper indeed!
  14. It does look like particle board....I think If you use a good primer like Zinser or Kilz you would get a smooth finish.
  15. You probably should open the kit and take a look at the wood. If you don't want it, you shouldn't sell it without advising the buyer of its condition. Hopefully there is a picture of the house on the instructions. Celerity were nice kits with great wood. https://celerityminiaturehomes.com/product/mch1801a-lady-kathleen-victorian/
  16. Sometimes the slot is the issue. You can add length to it by slicing the end of the slot with an X-acto knife. Then sand it.
  17. Yep, go ahead and glue the foundation or you will have a house of cards. Did anyone share this blog with you? https://moreminis.blogspot.com/2017/09/the-garfield-dollhouse-blog.html It might help you out. You are on your way! Good job!😉

    Henry Gold Houses

I picked up this brochure at the 2021 Good Sam showcase of Miniatures. I was hoping he had a website, but I found nothing. Anyway, I thought this might be of interest to some of our members .

  20. My husband has been in the woodworking profession for over 25 years and is allergic to saw dust.......Red itchy eyes, excessive sneezing. It hasn't gone on to irritate his lungs yet. Maybe you should have someone scrape off the wood shingles and apply the new ones.....Asphalt shingles are another option. https://www.miniaturemarketplace.com/BUILDING-SUPPLIES/SHINGLES-ROOF-MATERIALS/ASPHALT-SHINGLES
