Crew said I had to stack the pieces so we could work on the floor! Instead of DOWEL I am using thicker pieces of pine. Crew is ready to work on the floor. -

OH NO moment, forgot there is a 1/2" ledge for window that sits right on the left and front edge of the stairwell box which I am cutting height last. DRY RUN similar pieces ...will work with small modification on stair case so you can step down into the window well area instead of dead space. -

I wanted to use different 1" wood strips but I would need a lot for the 2 boxes which total 40"x24", so I distressed both the stairwell and 1st floor box floors which will come together very much like this photo. -

Idea behind the design -

Pieces to 1st floor (1 of 3 boxes, stacking design) outside color. There is only 1 solid wall and floor each box, so there are lots of pieces. Still have to paint INSIDE of ALL these pieces. -

Crew was looking at the width of the stairwell (narrow) and 1st floor and noticed the width cut is a blade width off. I CAN fix it as I have a strip the size, but Chuck says he WONT BE off an he wants to cut it. We are excited to begin this project. -

Statement was raised to put outside walls on OUTSIDE of FLOOR for stability...here is a dryish run with claims on how the side wall and back wall would look though not cut. 1/4 channel sits on 1/2" wide X 1 1/2" deep strip TOP and BOTTOM. OUTSIDE THIS WAY or on top of floor????? COMMENTS welcome. -
