Here we go! The NAME National Convention ends with a show this week and soon we are looking at several miniature shows throughout the US. Below is a list of shows that I will be attending as a vendor. This is very different from what I have done in the past, but things are different now. If you are going to any of these, please stop and say hello. August 15-16 Dayton, OH 3 Blind Mice Show August 22-24 Aztec Wholesale Show in Aurora, OH August 28-29 Chicago Fall Show from Tom Bishop September 5-7 Orlando Miniaturia September 11-12 Nashville, TN presented by Harville Productions September 18-19 Indianapolis presented by the Museum of Miniature Houses October 24 Louisville, KY November 5-8 Philadelphia Miniaturia Wholesale and Retail Shows November Chicago Wee "c" Miniature Show (tentative) I know there are other shows, but these are the ones I am attending. More details on each as we get closer. The Bishop show will have more vendors than in the past. Orlando is a new show and it is a holiday weekend, so it is hard telling about attendance. It is on Disney grounds, so that may help.

Hi All !! The Chicago Miniature Shows are just around the corner!! :w00t: :w00t: I am surprised that there hasn't been more talk about it. I know several forum members will be there. Who is attending????? I will be setup at the 3BM show at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Schaumburg. I have attached a coupon for those attending to save $1 off admission. If nothing else, stop by and say hello. http://3blindmiceshow.com/chicago_spring/ http://www.bishopshow.com/

For those of you within a couple of hours of Cincinnati -- they have a miniature show on April 11 & 12. I wasn't going to go as Chicago is the following weekend, but decided to get two tables and give it a shot. The link and flyer for the show are below. There should be around 25 dealers there (from what is listed on their website). Forum members get a deal at my tables (All About Miniatures) be sure to come say hello!! http://www.cincy-miniatures.org/

I really like this. If you look closely you can see the birds inside. Jeanette and Dale Kendall do some wonderful things in miniature. She has great candy and food items.© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

I was going through the forum and noticed there was a nice four page topic about the 2012 Chicago show(s). I was just wondering who is attending from here. I have seen a couple of people post, but not many. I have to be in Atlanta that Monday through Wednesday to give some training presentations, but definitely plan on getting up there. I just got my credentials for the Bishop Wholesale Show, which means driving up to Chicago Wednesday night after flying home from Atlanta, spending Thursday and Friday in Chicago, back to Indianapolis Friday afternoon and then back to Chicago for the retail portions of the Bishop and the 3 Blind Mice shows for the weekend. I am really looking forward to it since I missed last year. I just wish I had time to take in a workshop or two. That will definitely be in the plan next time around. So...who's going???

I bought two straight counters, an L shaped counter, a post office rack and two domes from M&M Specialties. The domes are for my daughter's Beauty and the Beast build. The other items are for my future builds.© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

These are a couple of newer items from Reutter Porcelain. I bought the salad bowl for a build. The liquor set sold out in a hurry. They are a little better quality than other sets I have purchased.© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

I picked this up as a gift. It is a Reutter Porcelain vignette. It can stand on a shelf or hang on the wall.© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

It isn't quite to scale, but is a very nice, detailed piece. I have another picture of the open coffin.© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

Cricket's specializes in "witchy" things. By the time I reached her at the wholesale show, she had sold out of almost everything. This was the last of these and I got it as a sample for my website. I may actually have a place for this in a rehab project.© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

This is a cute little spell table from Cricket's Miniatures. It used to be "Cricket's and Koala Tree," but they have had some personnel changes.© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

Honestly, I don't remember where I picked this up. It was at the wholesale show. I am going to do an entire build around this $1.50 item. There was a mini club that did all kinds of Clue scenes and I thought they were so cool. I have already picked up some items for the scene, but need to order the "room." I will have this done this summer since I already own or have ordered what components I need. Stay tuned to find out "whodunit."© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

These were cool. The chicken coop is a new item. They sold out of all that they brought within the first hour. The outhouse is 1/4 scale and has great detail.© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

I picked these up for an Old West build. He has a variety of guns and other items, but is best known for his wagons and carriages.© 2013 All About Miniatures, LLC

Okay, since I am still fairly new to minis (one year) I am not familiar with all of the shows. I am thinking about running up to Chicago in a couple of weeks for the Bishop show. I know it isn't anything like the Spring show, but is it worth attending? Is anyone from the forum going? It is only a three hour drive for me and I am thinking about making a weekend out of it with the wife. All thoughts, comments and notes on attending are welcome. I think it would be great if anyone from our little GL family wanted to get together for lunch or dinner or something. I am always up for learning from others. http://www.bishopshow.com/chif.htm

I've returned to miniatures after a very long absence. I really want to go to a show, possibly even show some of my work. I'm working on a kit now but I hope to do two scratch builds by this summer. I've found posts here on Tom Bishop's Chicago show. Any comments on the San Francisco show this July? I'm figuring it's smaller than Chicago but does it still have a nice turnout? Is it a good place for newbies to show their work? Thanks, Bogie
