    Cindy Lou Who

From the album: Country House - Renovated

Cindy Lou Who arrived in my mailbox yesterday. Yes, I know she is way too big for my dollhouse, but I ordered her for my niece, not me. My niece Tara is 26 years old, and I am still buying her dolls for Christmas - but for a good reason. She is an actress playng Momma Who in a national tour of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, so Cindy is her baby.
  2. From the album: Country House - Renovated

The girls want to be sure that everyone on this site lately gets their Christmas/Holiday message, which is: Seasons Greetings from our little home to yours. We wish you the best of all the little things in life. Love, Grandpa, Grandma, Amy, Heather, Holly, Carrie, and Fala (the dog) P.S. -- Happy Holidays from me too!
  3. From the album: Country House - Renovated

For fun I thought I would take a black and white picture. The result reminds me of an old fashioned family photo.

    A Beautiful Sight

From the album: Country House - Renovated

A beautiful sight - they're happy tonight! Amy hangs the stockings as Grandma and Grandpa prepare for a holiday feast in this most joyous Christmas scene. Great Grandma and Grandpa are sitting in their rockers, taking in the sight.

    What Can It Be?

From the album: Country House - Renovated

The Christmas presents under the tree are gifts the family is giving to one another, and they will be opened on Christmas Eve, before Santa comes with his bag of goodies. Carrie found a box with her name on it, and she is hoping it will be a Mickey Mouse. Maybe Grandma should have wrapped the gift in a different box.
  6. From the album: Country House - Renovated

Heather and Holly are identifying with the the true meaning of Christmas by examining this nativity event. Their friend Woody the racoon wants to play the part of a wise man. - Maureen's father made the barn for the nativity pieces, and the barn and set were in her family for many years.

Here is another black and white picture with an old-time effect.

    Full Effect

From the album: Country House - Renovated

This is the full effect of the dining room at Christmas time. My mother used to hang small stockings on the light above our dining room table, and I ended up doing the same in my little house.
  9. From the album: Country House - Renovated

The stockings were hung by the chimney with canes, hoping St. Nicholas wouldn't complain. Barbara Hill made these personalized stockings for the girls, and I also purchased the fireplace from her. At first I wasn't going to purchase the stockings as I didn't want to drive spikes through the fireplace to hang them. Fortunately, my friend Ann thought of hanging them by one of the stocking canes, and that seems to be working well.
  10. I saw this earlier today and had to post this in case you guys didn't catch it. I wish I had been at the museum today! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIoSga7tZPg

  13. From the album: Country House - Renovated

After what seemed like a hundred takes, the family got a few good shots from which they can use for their family Christmas card. The girls are lining the staircase in Brady Bunch fashion (that is youngest to oldest moving from top to bottom). Their personalized stockings were made by Barbara Hill of Hill Country Miniatures. The girls kept mixing up their stockings, as they thought it would be funny if they were each holding a stocking with one of their sisters' names instead of their own to see if anyone would notice. However, Grandma thought that would confuse too many friends and relatives, so they kept it serious.
  14. From the album: Country House - Renovated

The family decided on to use this picture for the this year's Christmas card. The card reads: Happy Holidays from our little home to yours. We wish you all the best of the little things in life this coming year. - Love, Grandpa, Grandma, Amy, Heather, Holly, Carrie, and Fala. - (Fala is sitting on Grandma's lap.) The family hopes this message gets your holiday season off to a good start, and so do I.
  15. From the album: Vineyard Cottage

This will be the kitchen area. The floor was a 16 hr project, but I like the way it turned out.
  16. From the album: Reverie Cottage

The wreath is wire and hot glued mosses. The topiary is a card holder from the wedding section of Michael's.
