From the album: 1/6 scale Bay Window house
material from inchbyinch interiors at Bishop Fall show in Chicago. Actually got a lot more of them. I took my 2 main curtain materials and we matched many accents to them. -

So it is major reinforcment....found and learned that I should have gone with thicker walls, and thought I was done, SO have to work around crown moulding and baseboards on first floor. However we are figuring it out. After many many photos of real pillars, I decide to make 2 that give the appearance of a cut out in the center. The 2nd photo was fuzzy but I love the light coming through with the ceiling on. There will be lots of reinforcments on first and 2nd floor. Your encouragement is appreciated as always.- 4 comments

I've been repainting the exterior window trim and shutters for a couple of days now....just got the first coats on the bay window. I noticed right away that the new blue color matches the blue in the 'stained glass' much better! Score! (and yes, the windows have been installed upside down by the original builder. *shrug*)- 1 comment

I finished the new trim for the bay window- corner trim with a piece of fancy window molding glued together. I decided that it needs a window seat so I did a mock up with pink fabric...what do you think? Pink or green? And now maybe some curtains.... The center window also has some damage that I am not sure how to fix....but I am sure something will eventually come to me.- 4 comments

Has anyone built a Carlson Victorian Bay Window kit ?
Stacey6163 posted a topic in General Mini Talk
Has anyone built a Carlson bay window kit ? The top and bottom are MDF ( which I 've never worked with ) and a TON of little wooden pieces . It will take hours if not days to put together , if I even can . And kind of funny , a window kit that doesn't come with the " glass " . It will definitely be a challenge . -
I'm putting the Houseworks bay window on my Allison/Primrose bash. The bay window does not come with interior trim or glass, and I don't find any made for that window to buy separately. I was thinking I'd use the plastic on the package and cut panes, gluing them around the edges of each section. I can't for the life of me figure out how to put interior trim on the window itself (that is, sandwiching the glass). Does that make sense? And, does anyone have a better idea/method?
