  1. I have the following hand-me-downs that were originally for a gent's haberdashery/outfitters shop that never materialized. The kits are all still unassembled, and I think everything is in its original condition/boxes except the missing drawer handle and escutcheon noted below. I wouldn't mind trading instead of selling! though I don't really have a "wish list" as such. More beautiful Beasaq in the Playmobil dollhouse.
  5. From the album: Celeste's Album

I have always loved miniatures, but once I bought a Playmobil Victorian Dollhouse back in 2012 I was hooked. I bought some beautiful half-scale Bespaq, and the rest is history.
  6. I have several pieces that I'm looking to clear out of my hoard... stash of minis. lol I have an older mirrored Bespaq armoire -- I think the last I saw they offered this piece for sale was in 1996, I also have a complete Townsquare Miniatures kitchen, as well as a few other things like a vintage porcelain couple, artisan Victorian styled Christmas tree, as well as a JiaYi hat stand/vanity. I have pictures of them all if anyone is interested in or looking for anything in particular, pm me I just may have it!
  7. ok, so I'm obsessed with cataloging my mini collection... it's going to take FOREVER. I've done over 500 items so far and I think (????) I may be halfway done. As I put entries in, a question keeps popping up in my head - what is the deal with brands like Bespaq and JBM furniture? I have seen it listed by online vendors as being 'artisan made' and 'hand carved'. Is it actually? It seems mass produced and some of the pieces I've seen definitely utilize laser cutting.... but I remember being told when I was a kid back in the early 90's by the local dollhouse shop lady that it was all hand carved. So was it at some point? I'd be interested to know the history or any info you guys have on the brand or how it's made thanks!

    Bespaq Stained

From the album: Beacon Hill Furniture & Accessories

Last summer I added this beautiful unfinished Bespaq piece to my collection. It will live in the foyer of the Beacon Hill. The finished version was red mahogany with a gloss finish. I see a lot of dark wood in my mental image of the house, so I've stained it with Minwax Provincial and will coat it with clear satin finish polyacrylic. I found a couple of spots with glue, but the stain covered it sufficiently. The mirror was not removable -- at least I wasn't going to mess with removing it -- so the edges were tricky, but it all worked out.

    Bespaq Unfinished

From the album: Beacon Hill Furniture & Accessories

Last summer I added this beautiful unfinished Bespaq piece to my collection. It will live in the foyer of the Beacon Hill. The finished version was red mahogany with a gloss finish. I see a lot of dark wood in my mental image of the house, so I've stained it with Minwax Provincial and will coat it with clear satin finish polyacrylic. I wasn't sure the felt tip of the stain marker would get into the tiny details, but it worked just fine.

    Gold Room

    From the album: Eternity Point

Gorgeous Bespaq armoire and the steep staircase peeking out on the bottom floor (both courtesy of Brae), along with my Hepplewhite chairs from Dejoux Miniatures. Big D has done a site inspection and I have his approval to continue with the work. After I cut the doorway to the Magnolia, I may move the staircase to the left wall. The floor design is wallpaper from a sample book. The gold medallion in the middle is perfect for the lighthouse. Brae, thank you again!!!

  11. I've listed some items on Kijiji (Ebay was costing me a fortune) as I need to thin down some of miniature collections (1:12 scale). As we're not allowed to post prices, I'm attaching a link to one of my ads that does not have a price. From there you can check out my other items (about 20). If you're interesting in any of these items, please e-mail me at: susanneg@shaw.ca I will bargain on the prices and can weigh and give you a cost for shipping. Thanks so much. I'm now retired but have some health problems that slow me down. My brother and I are also looking after our elderly parents who want to stay in their own home. Looking forward to chatting in the forum as winter has now started and I'm staying home more. -Susanne http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-hobbies-crafts-1-12-scale-Various-Paper-Cut-and-Glue-Kits-W0QQAdIdZ426739552
  12. Hey everyone I recently got into the miniature hobby and was looking into the Bespaq furniture line as it seemed to be the most recommended for quality and detail. I saw this on ebay listed as Bespaq but I couldn't seem to find it in the recent catalogues that I was able to find online. So I was wondering if this is a genuine Bespaq piece? And it it was, what collection/year is it under? Thanks in advance!

Stock Photo of the Bathroom Furniture I purchased on eBay. It should be here in the next week. Looks like the seller may be slow on handling time/shipping but we will see.
