Hello, I've got a really pretty 1:12 scale ball-jointed doll coming from Zjakazumi. She has grey eyes and pale blond hair. I'm thinking of making her into a Good Witch version of Sarah Jessica Parker's character. A fitted corset with tall black witch boots, and a hooded robe over everything. But: where do I begin? I've never dressed a doll before. This is only my second adult doll in 1:12 scale. Thank you, Everyone!

Little English Ivy is helping me figure out my room box layout! The room box is a gift for the lady who sold me my Duracraft Farmhouse. I felt that the little mugs with all of her family members' names on them should be returned to her. But I figured she was being practical when she included them with the dollhouse. So I figured I would give her a way to display and keep them safe (they are on the etegere behind Ivy). I'll post pictures when I get it all done. -

I think I will call her "Lucy" for short. She is so cute! I bought her off Amazon, and here she is helping me shop for her new friends. She is an Ai Doll from Jun Planning. Very very happy with this purchase! -

Happy Birthday to me! (this month...) So Little Lucy has a birthday cake for me, and the rainbow rug I crocheted is finished! -
Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anybody out there has ever tried customizing an artist's ball-jointed mannequin into a dollhouse doll? They are pretty cheap on Amazon and come in a variety of sizes including 5.5" and 4.5". The heads are ugly, but I thought maybe they could be paper mached or sculpted over? Thoughts?

From the album: Big T -- 1:12 scale laser cut Tennyson
Meet Jonah, the Tennyson's new tenant. Jonah is a true one inch scale ball-jointed doll designed and sold by Garmonsway Designs in New Zealand. The designer sells them through her Etsy store https://www.etsy.com/nz/listing/173388571/bjd-dollhouse-sized-mature-tiny? Jonah is a "Chris" doll, number 7 of 50 made for the first edition. He has 19 points of articulation and is amazingly detailed. He will need to be painted and wigged (and clothed ) and I'm enlisting help from my daughter who mods BJDs Jonah needs a hard hat because the Tennyson is still under construction, and now that he's moving in, of course, he wants to remodel!- 8 comments

If you were wondering about the small figure in the wagon, here she is! She is a half scale ball jointed doll (BJD), made with a 3D printer. She is resting here in a half scale Bespaq chair. More about her later!- 2 comments

Hiya. I'm really new to dollhouses still, I have only been photographing them for a year and a half, so I still have the "honey moon" phase thing going on! :-) I'm Jack and I am 26 years old. I collect BJD (ball-jointed dolls,) so that's kinda how this interest of mine peaked! Last August, I found a Fisher Price toddler's plastic dollshouse in the trash. It seemed lonely, so I humored my wife & we brought it home & rinsed it off. Ironicly, a bjd we had then was just small enough to move into her home. Since then, I've given my Fisher Price home away, purchased a 'Calico Critter' town house, furnished it, and now I've purchased my first DIY lightbox house & furnishing, wallpapers, etc., for my 1/6 dolls. I am super happy with the idea of starting from scratch and, I keep checking my Amazon order status with high hopes that my lightbox is shipping to me soon :-D Oh, I put some of the photos I took into my post - is that okay? You can see that I enjoy small-scale toy photography in general; but notice also the doll. She's a BJD. So she's a ball jointed doll. I know that sometimes, people aren't sure what exactly it is that I'm talking about LOL! :-) Is it common for dollhouse hobbyists to take photographs of dolls and toys in their doll houses? I feel like maybe I'm weird... Either way, I am stoaked to be here and hopefully, my new lightbox & furniture will be here soon :-D
