Hey guys I decided to branch out and do the RGT Bungalow which I have wicked plans for ;) but, I don't now whether to decorate the interior in mid century modern or to do it in Mission style, or to just go traditional. The scene setting with be the early 1970's with the possibility that the family has never updated their furniture. So, I guess I'm asking, if you were to do this house, what style interior would you do? I'm not sure who created the bungalow in the photo but, that's the house, and I just love what they did to the exterior.

The living room is finished and ready to move into. I added some ceiling beams and an entry light, also. I will (try to) make the period furniture when I am closer to finishing the house. I will custom order thin oak for all the furniture. I have several period furniture patterns from The Scale Cabinetmaker and I found a very helpful pattern book online. We'll see how that all turns out later. -
I recently started building the RGT half-inch scale bungalow. I've been looking through the forums and the galleries--great ideas! I am wondering how others have finished the porch floor. Did you leave it the bare wood, either painted or stained, or install flooring? I fear the posts won't fit if I put flooring on, but I can see it would be difficult to put on flooring after the posts and railings are in. Any ideas? It's the one bit of the house the instructions don't cover--when to finish the floor of the porch :-) Jennifer

I still need to add a 1920's refrigerator and more accessories. I do wish the kitchen had ended up a bit larger. But done is done. I'll squeeze it in somewhere. ;-) -

First colors. Red and yellow are okay. But the green is too green, too dark, too bright. Need a dusky moss green. I could go with these colors but it's not what's in my mind. -

Today I worked on making a craftsman style door for the bungalow. I made it out of cherry. -

I've been modifiing my petite properties cabinets to make them fit in the half scale bungalow. With the big window it limits the space. I added the stained glass pannels. I love how they turned out.-

Hi Half Scale Bungalow Builders, I just started my bungalow today. I'm so excited about this house! So for day one I labeled all of the pieces and boy there were more pieces than I thought there was going to be. I also did a dry fit to see how the assembly will go, seems pretty straight forward. Next I started some sanding and priming. I'm happy with what I accomplished today. I have a question though - my bungalow is going to be painted a pewter gray with an off white trim (almost cream) and some brick color accents - what am I going to do about the porch flooring? What color should I paint that? I thought of maybe some kind of white wash? Any thoughts? Also should I score the porch floor to make it look like floor boards? What tools do you use to do that? Guess I ended up with more than a question LOL

I have started the work on my half scale bungalow by Real Good Toys. This is such a great house. I've had my eye on it for a long time and when the HBS Aprils Fools Day coupon came along I knew that its was my opportunity to pick it up.-
