These were gifts for my daughters for Christmas this year! When they were growing up we always had an enormous tree-usually 10-14 ft and once the girls moved away from home, they never had a big tree like that again. SO...I decided to make these mini vignettes as a kind of reminder of those days. However, their lanterns include their current furbabies! -

This lantern is for my oldest daughter - and you can see her two Maine Coons-Buzz and Bean- atop the pile o' gifts! -

Since my house isn't electrified, I never thought I would be able to have regular lights, let alone lights on a Christmas tree. Thanks to battery operated miniature lights, however, I fortunately am able to have both. The lights on this tree are a battery-operated necklace sold at Target. The chain was a gift from the girls' friend Angi. -

The stockings were hung by the chimney with canes, hoping St. Nicholas wouldn't complain. Barbara Hill made these personalized stockings for the girls, and I also purchased the fireplace from her. At first I wasn't going to purchase the stockings as I didn't want to drive spikes through the fireplace to hang them. Fortunately, my friend Ann thought of hanging them by one of the stocking canes, and that seems to be working well. -
