Hi. Always wanted a dollhouse and finally I have a beautiful Beacon Hill Dollhouse. Most of it is finished but I want to turn the attic into either an observation tower, artist studio or perhaps a very feminine boudoir. Would love any ideas you have.

Here's the plan. I thought the construction of this was similar to the store front project I just finished. Natural progression? Still need to tweak the panels on the inside. Its modular so I can resize it, use 1 door or more, single or double. The connectors are L-shaped to fit the sashes & doors from the outside, allowing the windows to be removable & different styles: awning, casement, hopper or non-opening. The windows can have 1 light or as many as wanted. Not sure I'll even attempt the gable triangle grille work!© MP2013

Right-click image & choose the largest photo to see the details. These are the basic parts of the framework that will be duplicated all around the structure, including the roof. Below the window section will be the wainscotting...© MP2013

From the album: Spring Fling 2012
The fountain gave me such a headache - 4 attempts and I am still not happy with my water creating skills (snort). This was made from a birdbath, a cakestand and the inside of a roll of masking tape. I used Solid Water for the basin and Making Waves for the drips. I used a combination of pale blue thread, wire, and cling flim and it still looks like its frozen in time. Must get some more practice with this stuff. Pouring still water is the easy part but making it look as if its moving requires skills I don't have yet. I made the boston ferns from floral wire and tape. They take a long time to hand cut but I like the finished effect. Palms are easier as the leaves are much bigger. The rest of the plants are from bits and bobs in the supply box.© Jo Medvenics 2012

I ended up with quite a tricky roofline but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. When I cut out the hole for the conservatory attachment I salvaged the windows and used them to make an opening window in the roof. Vines have now started to grow out through this window from the inside of the garden room so Ellie rarely closes it. There are tiny fasteners on each window but the window is fixed in the open position and doesn't actually close.© Jo Medvenics 2012

Like some others, I got rid of the door in the conservatory and created a window with mesh. This is fixed in place and doesn't open and close.© Jo Medvenics 2012

From the album: Cosy Conservatory (Greenleaf Greenhouse)
Surrounded by lush turf and luxurious plants, this sweet little greenhouse is a delightful sanctuary from life's stresses. Inside you'll find a rocking chair beside a table holding a pretty potted Coleus, a pair of scissors and thread, a cup of tea, and a plate of brownies. There are books to read (and the cutest little apple bookends you ever did see) and a dollhouse to play with, and lots of beautiful plants and flowers to nurture. Outside are gardening tools and even a puppy to play with......and a sassy little rabbit to make you laugh. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have all this in real life?© Deb Roberts of Deb's Minis, July 2012
