From the album: The Steampunk House
This is a close-up of the exterior Stonework/tarnished metal Medallion that sits above the front door. I made it using egg cartons, gesso, Paperclay, and acrylic paint. And yes, I sketched this out first. XD More info on the blog; http://kyle-lefort.blogspot.com/© Kyle Lefort 2013

This is the basement. I made the walls/floor/ceiling using egg cartons, balsa wood/Popsicle sticks, gesso, Paperclay, and acrylic paint. The pottery was also hand made from paper, glue, gesso, acrylic paint, and polyurethane. The bucket(I stained it), tiny seashells, and giant pewter pendant were purchased. From the album: The Steampunk House
The Steampunk House, the end result of a lengthy blog challenge/contest. (The 12 0z can of Loganberry is for size reference) It was a quirky cabinet, but now it's a Steampunk themed dollhouse. How cool is that? More info on the blog; http://kyle-lefort.blogspot.com/© Kyle Lefort 2013

From the album: The Steampunk House
This is a neat little house-shaped cabinet I picked up at an antique co-op a couple of summers ago. It's not really an antique, but I knew that when I bought it and didn't care because I was planning on repainting it anyway. From my understanding, front open houses can be pricey, so this really was a find. Originally it had pink windows, but someone painted them black. They look fine in the photo, but up close they're kind of a mess.© Kyle Lefort

The inside of my cabinet house. It's not a super small, but it's still pretty compact. I'm basically doing my own miniature rendition of that White Room Challenge show.© Kyle Lefort
