I haven't been working on my dollhouse as much as I would like. It's hard with summer obligations and gardening. I did manage to try my hand at soldering. I just couldn't stand the front door. I love open and airy homes, in real life too. I grew up with a father who loved everything locked up and all shades and curtains drawn closed. I hate it now. I find it depressing to be in any space that is dark and closed. So it was appropriate for me to have an open front door to see through. You can see my iron work isn't perfect but not bad for first try. I will admit I spent many hours practicing because I didn't want to have to cut and bend the grill again. I think it's pretty good for first time.- 6 comments

I kept looking at the first extension I made and wasn't happy. I was placing the fridge and stove and felt i didn't have enough space to work with and I couldn't stand the window I put in. So I decided to make another extension and make the room larger. This way the front elevation would also be balanced out too. There is so much refinement i need to do but here is the new extension. Only miniaturist and dollhouse enthusiast could appreciate this. I show my friends and they don't even recognize the difference.- 5 comments
