Hi Everyone! It's been a while since I've posted on the forum but I have been lurking a bit. I have decided that my piles of "stuff" are a bit out of hand so I'm going to keep some select items but get rid of the rest. I have one or two House of Miniature furniture kits and before listing them elsewhere I thought I would give first dibs to everyone here. Here's the list. Sorry it's not in numerical order. The number in () is the amount of the kit I have. Most of them are still in plastic wrap. I have found several of these kits on Ebay and wondering how many use furniture kits or bash them or use them a patterns for other pieces. I purchased the Chippendale curved front chest, 5 drawer chest, lyre back chairs, chaise lounge, mirror (damaged, partly assembled when purchased) and the hall table. Only have completed the curved front chest. Made another chest using the top of the five drawer chest as a pattern to make a smaller one using mat board

halfscale laser cut furniture by Greenleaf... 'Cause my sister is BADASS! -
From the album: Beacon Hill Furniture & Accessories
The Realife Miniatures kit furniture is on the small side of 1:12 scale and so should fit into the Beacon Hill's dining room quite nicely. The kit is old, so I tossed the stain and glue packets and am using a stain pen and Aileen's Tacky Glue for construction. I'm taking the time to round the sharp edges with sandpaper to give it a more realistic appearance. The staining is done prior to gluing. When completed, each piece will get a coat of clear satin finish polyacrylic to mimic a waxed surface. The kit included a piece of 1/4" x 1/32" wood that had to be soaked in warm water and bent around a heavy cardboard form. This will be glued under the tabletop for a nice finished appearance.© 2015 Katherine Bennett
