These are the outside paint colours: Blue Mist, but it is actually a sea green, on the walls and Midnight Green on the decks. Inspired by Deb's gorgeous Magnolia in all the gray/greens.© Lene Pieters

From the album: Country House - Renovated
Placement is everything in the mini world, which is why I like playing with the furniture in this room. I thought the vanity, which was really made for my Garfield house, may have been too bulky for an attic room that was compromised by a slanted roof. Also, the wicker chair next to the matching wicker dresser was a tight squeeze in the opposite corner. So for now, I am saving the vanity as inspiration to complete my Garfield house, and the wicker chair looks good on the porch. I really didn't want to take the vanity away from the girls, but they prefer using Grandma's vanity anyway. Amy likes her desk in the corner where the vanity was, and both she and Heather find the openenss of the room fresh and appealing. Besides, they need to make room for the dollhouse they may be getting for Christmas. -

The other attic bedroom belongs to Amy and Heather, the two older girls. The green wicker vanity and desk were made by Terri (smallhouset) for my Garfield house, but I have no idea when I will have that renovated, and these items deserved to be displayed. Besides, they match the wallpaper, go good with the pink in the alcove area, and Heather and Amy needed new furniture! How could I have deprived them? -

The furniture pices are now rearranged to accommodate a bench along the left side wall. The desk has been moved to the imaginary wall in front of the bed. Now you can get a better glympse of Terri's work. Amy is cut off in the picture, but she is standing aside to admire her room. Green is her favorite color. -

Hand made from my own designs, my miniature candy boxes are made from reclaimed cardboard and paper, Paperclay, and painted with acrylic paint. The super tiny, hand sculpted polymer clay "chocolates" sit wrapped in their own tissue paper compartments. Everything has been sealed with 2 coats of crystal clear Polycrylic, for a lasting, quality finish. No two boxes are exactly the same.
