From the album: Half-scale RGT Colonial (first house!)
Here she is! Since I took this pic I glued everything in without too much difficulty. I'm happy with the result. I still need sink hardware and a few other things (cooktop), but progress is progress. -
From the album: Half-scale RGT Colonial (first house!)
Here is what I'm thinking for the floor plan: Attic level: boys and girls bedrooms and jack-and-jill bathroom, bathroom with false door to "hall" which receives the stairs from the second floor. In reality, that's where I'll stash all my electrics since I'm using round wire and batteries rather than tape wire and a transformer. Second level: master suite with bedroom and office to left, bathroom to right, and stairwell passing through. There will be a landing in the foreground (currently covered with blue masking tape), and doors from the bedroom and bath will open onto this. To make it a truer "suite," there is a passage behind the stairwells (toward the front of the house and further from the camera) between the parents' bed and bath. Main level: Living room with lots of play space for kids to left, a rather compact kitchen to the right, and stairwell ascending away from the viewer between them. There is hall space toward the back of the house to enter the kitchen. I am debting placing a half bath beneath the stairwell, vs. having that space open to the kitchen or using it for a washer/dryer. Thoughts?- 2 comments

From the album: A Hermitage
The Nutcote bed wasn’t available when I started my Hermitage (Nutcote) and when I noticed that Shannon had added it to her inventory I decided to get it even though I already made a bed for the house. One of the things I really like about the Nutcote house kit are the theme furniture pieces. Shannon (Red Cottage Miniatures) made them specifically for this house and they fit beautifully. You can mix and match her other kits as well, depending on how you want to furnish the house. But I love the details of the theme pieces. This kit comes with a darling tiny diorama of the house too.I've assembled the bed and I’m painting it (in the background) but it will need several light coats with lots of drying time in between. In the meantime I started painting the tiny diorama. It needs more work, but is coming along.© DAL Minis

Hi Everyone What are your sources for decent half scale light fixtures, I will likely go roundwire as tapewire seems finicky but i'm having trouble finding fixtures that don't cost more than full scale fixtures.
