  1. Can anyone help identify this house?
  2. I picked up a dollhouse trunk kit from an estate sale and thought it would be the perfect accessory for my most recent house building project. However, while all of the pieces/components were there, the kit was missing the critical instructions. I thought it would be a cinch since, after all, it was only a basic trunk, but when I poured out the contents there seemed to be a few more pieces than what was represented in the only drawing that was included. First off, just based on the picture (there was no manufacturer information included) can anyone identify this kit? Secondly, I am pretty since the inside is intended to be papered, that this is a fully functioning, hinged, trunk and that the additional pieces are a part of that mechanism, but I am unsure of how to proceed. Can anyone advise based on the picture? I will do my best to describe the pieces: The kit came with: Wooden pieces to assemble top and bottom of trunk (done) Brass findings for the top and sides of trunk (done) Brass latch for the front of trunk (done)--all placed based on picture The parts I am uncertain of: 4 brass half circles--I am assuming that these represent the back hinges, but am not sure if they belong visible on the back or on the inside back of the trunk when open 2 small brass medallions (they are cupped as seen in second picture). Each of the medallions has a small hole on one end 2 small brass wires that came pre-bent--I experimented with these and they pass easily through the hole in the medallions without going all the way through 2 small brass hoops that slightly thin at the joint 1, approx 1.5" brass wire 1 piece yellow satin ribbon
  3. Bought this beauty through a local shop'n'swap online for $60 fully furnished. I can't for the life of Google identify it. The closest I've come is a variation on the 1979 Franklin. But the windows are different, the stairs aren't curved and are opposite... Plus some different interior wall placements. Anyone know what it is? Approximate measurements are: 31.5" Height 33.5" Width 19" Deep (which also closely resembles the Franklin) Sorry the photo is sideways, the uploader is giving me the dickens....
  4. May I make a suggestion? There have been a few posts lately as people are trying to identify dollhouses. There are a few of us that have the old catalogs, Nutshell News back issues and other places where we can draw information. As you build or rehab a house, take a moment with a Dremel or a wood burning pen or as a last resort, a Sharpie. Mark the bottom of the house. I have spoken to several forum members and there are a lot of people who don't do this. I was a bit surprised. You can mark it however you want, but I suggest your name, your location, the date, the kit, what you named the project and any other information you feel is pertinent. You don't have to be a master builder, artist or well known. Think about something you may build and donate or sell. It gets purchased, passed around and in 10-20 years someone on this Forum asks -- "can you identify this house?"
  5. I went to a yard sale last Friday because they had advertised having a "few" minis. I got there to find the building below, all of the contents for it and another table COVERED in mini furniture pieces. Most of them were 1/2 scale and from the 1970's. Some of them are IDEAL brand. I will post pics after I clean them up. The pictures below are of the completed kit that the lady had built as a Millinery/Fabric Shop. It was built in the 1970's or 1980's and I am just curious if anyone knows the make and model. It is front opening and has a framed glass top. I will spend some time cleaning it up and restocking it. I might even change the type of store. Thanks!
  6. From the album: Help me identify these pieces of furniture!

A friend gave me these pieces of furniture. They are very well made..although the legs are missing on a couple of the pieces and some of the rungs as well. I looked for a makers mark but didnt find anything..that I could see anyway. Does anyone recognize these? Id like to know who made them and how old they are. Thanks
