  1. Porch side

From the album Spring Fling 2012

The roof tiles are from Minaco and I really like them, great to work with as they will cut easily without shattering. The ridge tiles are also from them but I needed one more and as they are not cheap I didn't want to buy another pack so I made one out of polymer clay. It worked so well that I ought to have made all the ridge tiles myself - note to self for next time. I aged them with acrylic paints and added lead strips down the gulleys with some leading left over from the Garfield.

  2. Inside view

From the album Spring Fling 2012

Here is Ellie mark 2 relaxing in the garden room with the cat, a drink and a good book - lovely. The rugs are all from my stash and bought from various places. The window shades were made from the mesh supplied with this kit, two layers cross hatching to give a sort of Moroccan look to the window. The tiny turning on display are from various artists and have been collected over some time. The most recent ones were the elegant wooden box in the centre left window from Alan's Miniatures - find him on Facebook and the sea urchin box from Hartwood Woodturning on Ebay. Cushions, couch, lights and plants are all homemade

  4. inside

From the album Spring Fling 2012

Looking through the sliding doors this time. The hookah was made from beads and jewellery findings and sits on the other table from the Bespaq set. The cat was bought about 3 years ago and I can't remember the seller.

  5. Entrance

From the album Spring Fling 2012

This is why I called it The Lanterns. The lanterns are made out of large translucent pink beads and some old bronze coloured jewellery findings. They were very easy to make once I had a design in my head. The tiles in the porch are by a seller called Toolshed22 on Ebay. They are beautiful and very intricate.

  6. Tour of the garden

From the album Spring Fling 2012

Take a tour of the garden with Ellie. I made the Ellie you see here and the Ellie you will see elsewhere in this build (but dressed differently) to demonstrate the different uses of the building. Now I'll be the first to admit they don't exactly look like the same person - could be sisters - but I'll ask for indulgence here - imagine its the same lady.

  8. Couch

From the album Spring Fling 2012

The couch was made from a combination of cardboard and foamboard and covered in a gorgeous scrap of silk sent to me by a friend. The table is from a Bespaq set that I bought on Ebay a year or so ago. The ginger jar was picked up in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul on holiday - I knew there would be a perfect place for it one day and here it is. The table lamp was a second hand one, again from ebay, that I made a new shade for to fit Ellie's bohemian style.
