  1. Hey everyone - I was fortunate to be selected to share my love of Mini's with our local magazine! They featured my Duracraft San Franciscan 555 on the cover! I hope it brings more to this amazing hobby and past time! Here's a link to the Magazine. Enjoy! https://view.publitas.com/now-magazines/north-ellis-county-now-april-2022/page/1
  2. I have about 203 back issues of Nutshell News from 1981-1995. Some issues may be missing from some years. I have them listed on eBay and Webstore under Dataphx. Some are not showing because they need to be relisted, but I have reached my eBay limit and need to wait for other things to expire. Plus I have numerous other miniature magazines that include Miniature Gazette, Dollhouse Miniature, Dolls House also for sale and each from random years. Please feel free to contact me for more information. I have images of all of them.

  4. So, my day started awesome: i don't believe in coincidence! Now i'm starting to focus again on dollhouse making and really am going for it, i now stumbled at the magazine shop, at the first two parts of a weekly Dutch magazine, were you will build piece by piece your own dollhouse and you receive nice furniture and other little accessories. Scale 1:12. The hous is more like a German chalet/cabin, but it's very cute. They say it will come in 100 parts! Part 1 was only 2 euros and i received already a porcelaine bath and some tiny accessories and part two was 5 euros and brought a heavy metal stove and some pans with it. The next parts will always be 10 euros. You can take a subscription or buy it a your local shop. If you take a subscription, you'll receive with certain parts, free lamps and the wiring system. I wonder if it is worth the money. Maybe you guys can check it out? That would be great. Of course it is in Dutch, but you can see the pics no? If you pay 11 euro/part, you can have the little veranda/porch to add to your house, but i think that is expensive (will be a 100 euros in the end for just the porch) and don't really think it is worth his while...I'm quite sure i will go for it. this is the site: http://www.uw-poppenhuis.nl/ this is a small vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jt_sozUFV8
  5. Hi everyone! I'm back. I'm not sure if this is the right place, or if this post is appropriate. But I am SO excited about this I can't stand it and wanted to spread the word. I had the idea of making a website where dollhouses could be made as paper models (furnished and everything), and I'm also including some printable miniatures for regular builders. All of the items are in "digital kit form" and available for instant download. Anyway, my latest creation is a huge set of printable publications. I've worked out the bugs on how to do ACCURATE double sided printing via a simplification in calibration that works for any printer, and I digitally remastered a bunch of public domain publications. This kit includes 2 books, 4 magazines, 6 comic books, 9 antique maps, 1 atlas, and 4 newspapers). Once constructed, they are able to be read under a magnifying glass, and I include very simple and thorough instructions. I would love it if anyone interested would go and take a look at the site, and tell me what you think. Here's the link: KINETIC PAPER ART- Dollhouse Miniature Books w/ READABLE PAGES Digital Kit And here are a couple images of the finished items. So what do you think? A worthwhile project to pursue? Buying ready made items like this individually costs a fortune.
  6. I bought an iPad more than a year ago and discovered I could get online magazine subscriptions. I was so immersed in my new reading materials, that my husband started checking out the cute little gizmo I carried around with me. Pretty much immediately thereafter he clamped on started using the iPad and eventually switched it to HIS Apple account and I completely forgot about my subscriptions. Then, yesterday, out of the blue, I got an email saying I have auto-renewal on digital magazine subscriptions - one for Dollhouse Miniatures and one for Dollshouse World. Where on earth did these come from? Then I remembered and got really miffed that I'd paid for them and couldn't read them! So this afternoon I started digging into these mysterious subscriptions and then, with sincere apologies to all the blonde ladies on the Forum, I had a complete Phoebe moment and realised that I could read them on my iPhone too (okay, seriously, you can stop laughing now!) Happy surprise to me!!!!!! I have about a year's worth of magazines to read ALL AT ONCE hehehehehehe So, in browsing the Newsstand, I discovered another mini magazine: American Miniaturist. Since I'm on a roll anyway..... any opinions on if that is a good magazine to buy as well? And wasn't there one called Nutshell something? Is that also available digitally?
