    K - Games

From the album: My First Dollhouse

Every parlor needs some game boards! In our household we played both Scrabble and Parcheesi so I decided the Mini-Manse needed some too. Copying the real boards, I made these two. I had a keyring with tiny dice in the fob. I broke that open and used the dice for the Parcheesi game.

    I Carpet, Etc

From the album: My First Dollhouse

In my stash of books was one on needlepoint in miniature, and I came across this carpet pattern. It looked intriguing so I tried it. First I had to modify the size, as it was square and I need a rectangle. I didn't really have the time to sit down and work on this project, so I packaged it up in a carrying case and took it with me to staff meetings, doctors' offices, or any place I had to sit and wait for awhile. It took about a year to complete the carpet. The table in this picture was made from a scrap of wood and wooden pencils for the legs. I couldn't find anything appropriate for the legs, and got to looking at a new pencil - nice shape, sturdy - sanded off the yellow paint and stained the new table legs! The little pink cake on the table is a ceramic piece made by my daughter.

    H Canopy Bed

From the album: My First Dollhouse

I rummaged through my fabric stash and found a pattern small enough to use for a bedspread and canopy cover.

  17. From the album: My First Dollhouse

The final move we made was to the capital city, and this was the last time the dollhouse came with us. After living here for awhile, we retired to the U.S. and I had to dismantle the dollhouse. I kept most of the contents, hoping to reassemble it later, but that didn't happen.

    E - Bathroom

From the album: My First Dollhouse

I put a mirror on the ceiling of the bathroom, since it was on the top shelf and a little hard to see. I also hung a mirror on the right wall, slanted enough to show the sink and the cupboard. I made the full-length mirror showing in the corner of the bedroom. The bathroom is a Chrysnbon kit, and I have recycled that into a bathroom roombox with is in our current bathroom.

    F - Bathroom

From the album: My First Dollhouse

The bathroom is a Chrysnbon kit. I put a mirror on the ceiling, since it's on the top shelf, so the details can be seen better. So that lower toilet tank is the real thing, and the upper "tank" is just a reflection. This set has now been recycled into a room box which is in our master bathroom.

  20. From the album: My First Dollhouse

The top floor was divided into bedroom and bathroom, with a connecting door. I put false walls in the whole house because I figured some day it might be taken apart and the frame would become a bookcase again. DH helped me plan an attic, and attach it to the top of the case. I then took apart some cardboard boxes that had the corrugated lining, painted that silver, and had aluminum roofing. That was a very common style of roof where we lived, and it was on our own house also.

Later we moved to a house in a small rural community, and the dollhouse came along.

  24. I have had a few PM's from forum members asking about my site. I haven't reactivated it yet as I am working on a couple of things. That being said, I still keep a lot of items in my eBay store. I also put updates on my AAM Facebook page. Be sure to "like" the FB page and subscribe to the eBay newsletter for the latest updates. Please see the links below. I also still have my "list" of miscellaneous kits and other items where I am keeping a look out for you. I have helped a few folks and will continue to do what I can.
