nice inside, just needs stair railings glued. passageways from room to room are irregular size for a door, so decided it would be fun to create a modern art museum and leave walls and floor as is.© The Dollhouse Whisperer

From the album: The Great American Dollhouse Museum
This is the front of the Great American Dollhouse Museum in Danville, Kentucky. We arrived there later than expected because we were running late, and traveling east, we lost an hour as we didn't realize Kentucky had two different time zones. As we approached the building, my friend Kathy was afraid the place was closed, as we saw no cars; but the parking was in the back. She was rather nervous, as she added this attraction to our trip for me, promised we would see it, and would have felt terrible if our plans didn't work out. As disappointed as I would have been if the place was closed, I would have felt worse for Kathy than for myself. She and my other travel buddy Barbara are good friends. -

This bedroom is among my favorite scenes in the Great American Dollhouse Museum, partly because I like the pink, green color combination of the furniture, walls and rug, and also because of the mouse ears on the rocker. I believe this was a representation of a house in England; however, it reminded me more of the 50's time period in America. Note the toy furniture on the floor. -

I look like I am embarking on a new adventure, but the enterance to the Great American Dollhouse Museum is on the other side of the building. -

This is not your typical room box, nor is it your typical bedroom. This is none other than a scene that deserves to be in a museum. -

This dollhouse mansion is magnificent and among the finest in the Great American Dollhouse Museum.
