The "Purple" room is being assigned as my miniature and crafting room. There are French doors that separate this room and the "Burgundy" room, which will become the model building area. I need to be able to close off the French doors to protect the yarns from any building dust that may come about from the model builds. I love the Purple room not only for it's color, but it has a built in three tiered wall hutch that was part of the original home. I love that hutch. It's great to store fabric remnants and all sorts of odds and ends. -

When I was planning the renovations for this house, I was pretty much set on the colors I wanted for each and every room - except the master bedroom. However, once I saw the patchwork bedspread in the gift shop of the Great American Dollhouse Museum in Danville, Kentucky, my decision was sealed. The back area by the windows used to be the bathroom of my old house. When I was contemplating having the bathroom sectioned off for "privacy," I didn't know how it would affect the bedroom, as it took 6 inches away from the space between the two side walls. However, I now had the back area to work with, and that gave the room more depth and a cozier feel. -

I finally painted the outside of my house. Its a purple color with white trim and the shingles are painted a charcoal grey. Have not put in windows yet and not sure when I will.
