From the album: A Hermitage
The Nutcote bed wasn’t available when I started my Hermitage (Nutcote) and when I noticed that Shannon had added it to her inventory I decided to get it even though I already made a bed for the house. One of the things I really like about the Nutcote house kit are the theme furniture pieces. Shannon (Red Cottage Miniatures) made them specifically for this house and they fit beautifully. You can mix and match her other kits as well, depending on how you want to furnish the house. But I love the details of the theme pieces. This kit comes with a darling tiny diorama of the house too.I've assembled the bed and I’m painting it (in the background) but it will need several light coats with lots of drying time in between. In the meantime I started painting the tiny diorama. It needs more work, but is coming along.© DAL Minis

Yesterday was an abundance of minis! It really doesn’t get any better than that, just sayin'. Not only did I get the wonderful handbag and book from Deborah (Debsrand56), I also got the new kit I’d ordered from Shannon at Red Cottage Miniatures (shannonc60). So I dove right in and started dry fitting.© DAL Minis

This is a monotone image of the kit in built form, but flipped. I'm building this one so that the door is on the left.© DAL Minis

I consider myself a die-hard Greenleaf fan because I’ve built almost exclusively Greenleaf house kits for several years now, but I couldn’t resist this one by Red Cottage Miniatures. Shannon has done a great job with this kit, and her furniture kits. They fit together beautifully! This is the first dry fit, but flipped. I'm building this one so that the door is on the left, rather than the right, which is how the house is designed. But it works fine building it “inside out” and that’s the plan.© DAL Minis
