From the album: My First Dollhouse - Beacon Hill
Made this today, punchneedle. I used a stencil, watered down white paint for the pattern. It's supposed to be a bath mat (it "matches" the wallpaper) but I'm worried it might be too fancy for the bathroom.... -

Maureen also crochets and recently made crocheted coasters. This one can also substitute as a rug for her room box. -

When I was visiting Franklin D. Roosevelt's home in Hyde Park, I bought a resin replica of Fala, the President's famous dog, in the gift shop. Fala is the family pet, although his eating dish (not seen in this picture) says "Missy." Missey was my dog, a beloved toy poodle, and while we spelled her name with an "e," I couldn't help buying the dish when I saw it. Fala's favorite room is the kitchen, and when the dish is filled, he doesn't care whose name is on it. I had the rocking chair since I was a child, and it used to be on a shelf in my room. I have a matching rocker on the porch. -
