  1. LSOH Side Bricked

From the album Little Shop of Horrors

I "bricked" the sides as there was nothing I could do with the plywood. I am going to add some black wash running down the sides to age it a bit. The "bricks" are actually a floor tile that I picked up at Home Depot. I still had to glue a lot of individual bricks, but these worked out nice and saved me a ton of time. Unfortunately they weigh a ton and I need to be careful moving this thing around. The tile was a grey color. I ended up covering it with Rust-Oleum American Accents Colonial Red I bought from a store that was going out of business. It took three coats and I burned through about six small chip brushes (the cheap disposable ones).

  2. Shop Lights

From the album Little Shop of Horrors

I found these lights at one of my distributors. I just got lucky that they are already green. I am going to add two to the front and one over the back door.

  3. LSOH New Front

From the album Little Shop of Horrors

Here is an updated shot of the storefront. I still need to do a little cleanup, add the window decals, lights and sidewalk. For comparison, the link to the original storefront is HERE. It is finally coming together.

I can't wait! I just made arrangements with the artist on a custom size. It will be larger than the Audrey II in the picture. She has done some beautiful work. Here is the listing in her Etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/listing/81004194/made-to-order-audrey-little-shop-of

  9. Little Shop Layout

From the album Little Shop of Horrors

Another shot of the lovely rundown plants. So I am back up and slightly mobile. This allowed me to start a mock up of my LSH build. I wanted to see what I needed to put on my list. The "monster" will go in the back right corner where the tub sits. I commissioned an "Audrey II" to be built by an artist. I will cut a hole for the door as there was a basement in the movie. The shelf, counter and walls will be painted in dull colors and will be peeling.I also have tin ceiling tiles. The lovely flowers were part of the original box that was built 40 years ago. They are in various states of disrepair, so they are perfect for this. The little plant on the counter is in a perfect container for a small "Audrey II" like the one from the movie in the coffee can. It may go in the front window.

This is the inside of the front panel. It will have a dull, peeling effect like the rest of the interior. This panel swings open so you can see inside the shop. I need to build a couple of shelves to raise the plants up. I will also screen print the windows. I may put a small version of the "Audrey II" in the window like in the movie and poster.

  13. Little Shop and "Stuff"

From the album My Travel Finds

Okay, not really a travel find. This pic is from the barn sale where I found my "Little Shop of Horrors" house. What you don't see in the pic is the other table of mini furniture and the box of miniature and doll books under the table. Everything to the left of the fireplace was in the shop when it was on display. She had built it as a fabric and dress shop. The lady was kicking herself as she had thrown a lot of mini items away earlier in the week because they had broken legs or other issues (not realizing someone might be able to fix and use them). There is some "Ideal" brand items in here and a lot of other vintage pieces. I have a couple of ideas for them.

  17. Little Shop door (before)

From the album Little Shop of Horrors

The door is a little funky. I like the stained glass. I don't think I like the door and frame all opening together.

  20. Little Shop interior (before)

She did a great job, but time, moths and barn storage paid its toll. I have already ripped up the floor paper.
  21. Little Shop side (before)

From the album Little Shop of Horrors

I like the brick paper, but it is faded and moth eaten. I will strip it and figure out what I want to do from there. You can also see the glass top, which will help give the inside some nice lighting.
