Some brass stencils I've collected over the years. -
From the album: My Arthur: Santa's House
I had trimmed the stencil to fit in the width of the porch foundation wall, as I did not have any spray adhesive in the house. After the first layer dried overnight, I just positioned the stencil over the last column of bricks to anchor it, and I put the next layer of Spackle on.© Lene Pieters

I continued with a third layer while the second one was still wet. It was tricky, so next time I'll wait for it to dry properly before attempting to continue the rows of bricks.© Lene Pieters

I used one of my artist palette knives to mix and spread the Spackle. I only had Soft Black and French Grey Blue paint, so I painted the background grout with Soft Black, then mixed the two colours with the Spackle to get a nice gray colour.© Lene Pieters
