I have an old Tennyson kit from the ArtPly era. It has two separate porch roofs instead of the one big wraparound one, and the porch railings are separate pieces instead of the big one-piece thing they have now. I'm missing the schematics and instructions but working from newer parts lists I've found I'm missing many large structural pieces. If you can provide any details or tracings of these bits, it would really help me. What I'm missing: it's a lot! Right front first floor and door Right front second floor Bay windows 3 pieces (left front) Dormer sides Dormer Roof left and right Dormer front Spike trim Dormer Roof trim Large peak front Small peak front Chimney sides A & B Chimney front C, back D, and top E Small inner roof (L-shaped piece) Round window trim, 4 pcs Bay window tops & bottoms (same size?) The two V-shaped roof braces that are on the back side, one big, one small Thank you!

HI my name is Sherry and this will be my first build. I found The Tennyson on craigslist cheap and thought it would be a good place to start. I done 3d paper houses and decorations. I've wanted to make a doll house since my daughter was little (she is 32 now) so I think it time. I have to grand daughters 3 and 10, I'm s sure they will be helping me decorate eventually. I have the kit all marked, apart and sanded. Now on to the next step. The dry fit. No questions yet, but I'm sure I will have some soon. Thanks for all your blogs, tutorials and information. I know I'll be needing it! Sherry

...done! I may have one paint touch-up and up to two trim touchups... And that end-table in the parlor is getting gessoed and finished, but I figured I better take some pics while the light is decent, because this pink house will get boxed up and put on the road here soon.

I think I've gotten these rooms finished: Still working the attic, with some matboard creations to hide wire runs: Some work on the exterior: And a little kitchen unit from Kris' recent tutorial; I think that next time I make this, I will use all matboard (no cracks ) instead of basswood. (Also I thought that those two fairy chairs needed a little something, so I gave em some seat cushions.)

Where have I been? Quilting. Had a request from a family member to make another pink Tennyson; found this old Whitney Tennyson kit on eBay-- I guess it was back in April-- figured today was a good day to break er open and see what we have here. Got the big structural pieces sanded and together for a dry fit. Those 1st floor right front walls' top tabs will need a bit of sanding down so that the 2nd floor right front walls will sit nicely on them, but I have to say, I have definitely seen much worse bay gaps. Not bad. Ed is "helping" the primer dry. (And looking for something to chew.) Got some yardsticks to affix to the underside of the 1st floor to give some height, as I did with the last Tennyson. Hubby took my previous pot of pink paint (Valspar interior latex satin "Pristine Petal") to Lowe's and they did a tint match. Off to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to get some papers-- and fresh paints because just about all of my acrylics have hardened up on me. Papering and window-works are next.

Isn't this fabric cute-- from Kris' parsons chair tutorial:

Only after I have applied 1st and 2nd coats of spackle and paint over the front gable trim am I willing to show it! Have been finishing up shingling and making furniture from Kris' tutorials: parlor chairs, bed, and starting on a set of parsons chairs: Also starting on the pelmets for the bay window treatments. Trying not to use terribly serious fabrics, as this is for a little girl after all!
