From the album: Porcelain bisque dolls and miniatures in 1/12 scale
Thought this might be useful knowledge for anyone working with fabric. I hate sticking pins in fine fabrics and ending up with pin holes. I read a tip to use insect pins, like what they would use in examining butterfly wings. This photo shows the difference between a regular dress pin and an insect pin. Quite a difference! -
I have been trying my hand at building my own furniture and am having a hard time with upholstery. This is my first attempt at making a chair and I have re-done the fabric on it several times! I'm not sure of the best way to do it, maybe it's the proportions of my chair that are making it look so bizzare? Idk! Any tips for making half scale upholstered furniture look less bulky and out of proportion??
