havanaholly
DHMS' sister publication, Dolls' House Projects, volume 2, number 1, is devoted to nursery projects that include furniture & toys. I no longer have the site bookmarked but I'm sure you could Google the url to see if they still have that back issue.
babypeanutz
Not sure if this is the kind of thing you are looking for, but I have been using these sites to decorate DD's dollshouse. ^_^ :o http://www.printmini.com/printables/p1.shtml http://www.kawarthalakesminis.com/printableshomepage.html

Gayle
As I was unable to post to any of the contests last night, I consoled myself with checking out the links mentioned in this site. What a delightful 2 hours I spent looking and making notes about where to find things of interest. Thanks to all who had posted before me. You made my day. Pinkflowers
Can anyone tell me what I can use for carpet in my dollhouse?
havanaholly
Upholstery scraps (waleless corduroy, etc) make nice carpet, so does felt. Bunka can be used to simulate buri. You can use rubber stamps and acrylic paints on cloth to make painted floor cloths. There's also a flocked scrapbook paper that some people have used successfully. Shakyshaky
I just got a bunch of fabric samples from Joanns for 1.99 that are very nice and should do two good sized rooms.
beth
A thousand thanks to all of you wonderful people who listed all the web sites for projects and printables. I think I used up most of the ink in my printer printing so may of them. There are so many more I'd like to print but must wait till I get more ink. I really thank you all. I even made a note where this project page is so I can find it again. I seem to forget where the sights are that I'm interested in. I think they call that 'a senior moment' :tongue4: Thanks again. Bonsaikathy
Some of the following links may be to full size projects, easily scaled down to miniature. http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/co_trains/ar...2270352,00.html http://www.trains.com/mrr/default.aspx?c=a&id=391 http://figuresnbits.com/grass_technique.htm http://www.canyoncreekscenics.com/ccs_tips.htm http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=mod...e&artid=135 There's some to start. Kat Here's some more. http://www.hrtrains.com/classnotes19.html http://www.trainclub.com/tips/109.shtml http://www.cooltrains.com/tiptrees.htm http://gerdesdesign.com/tree.htm http://www.xs4all.nl/~raicho/mcorner/trees/trees.htm http://zeitcom.com/majgen/22palmsc.html http://ryan.skow.org/tutorials/trees/ http://home.concepts.nl/~besem/modeling/terrain_03.html http://www.trains.com/TRC/CS/forums/1/4404...ost.aspx#440426 http://users.tpg.com.au/bhutchin/HobbyPage...es/Regnans.html I think that's the end of tree tutes. Kat For those interested in mini scenery, there are several groups you can join to learn more. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CITY-MiniScenery/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SCENERY/?yguid=221139410 http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TreeMaking/?yguid=221139410 http://groups.yahoo.com/group/weathering/?yguid=221139410 There are more but those are the best I've found so far. The first one is mine and geared towards Miniature scenery for doll house scenery or roomboxes or stand alone scenes. The other ones more towards model railroading but some SUPER good tips come in on them that we can use too. Kat
