christinee
Jeff, I think you may be looking for Painted Ladies. Painted Ladies refers to the colorful, multi-color tall and narrow style houses in San Francisco. There are 2-3 books out there dedicated to pictures of painted ladies too! A search on Amazon or eBay should bring them up if you want to get them. Here's a link about them and the painted ladies houses: Painted Ladies Link A google search for painted ladies will bring up more pics and inspirational photos Christine

havanaholly
Jeff, a "Pink Lady" is a cocktail of unimaginable & undrinkable sweetness; I think you mean a "Painted Lady", which refers to thowe woderfully rainbow-painted, ornatel-gengerbread-festonned late-Victorian houses one sees on Nob Hill and some of the other old neighborhoods. mommymakesstuff2
When I was a kid the "Pink Ladies" was a variety show with two japanese starlettes who had horrible english and disappeared quickly. My next door neighbor was japanese so I loved it even though it stank.
