Watching Hocus Pocus right now (on ABC Family).

Working on the window covering and I want to clean the ceiling fans today too.

I am making something I havent made in a dog`s age. Oven Fried Chicken. Fred and I like to watch a cooking/travel show called Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives..Fred has a man crush on Guy. LOL

There was a segment about a place that sold Soul food and I copied the recipe for the woman`s O.F.C. I have it in the fridge now marinating in the milk and seasonings.

Also going to have red skinned mashed potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, tossed salad and corn bread. Chelsea is having all of that (except chicken) and Tempeh Wings.

We had rests from the fridge for dinner today. Desperatly need to go shopping! We had ribs and chips. No veggies left, not even frozen peas. Though still feel a bit hungry.

Was going to make brownies today, but then my stomach was upset and I stayed in bed all afternoon instead. Better now (hence being able to eat a few ribs) but brownies haven't been baked! might have to do that this evening still, really fancy them!

Got my wainscotting cut and glued, still have to paint them though. Think i'll be able to find a chair rail to sit on the top, but might be a few weeks before I can go out searching for some. Next is the floor. Have to remember to leave enough room for the wainscotting!

Should be doing some work tonight: I've got a development day on tuesday and we're supposed to have learnt all about cardiovascular disease/treatments before then.

Muriel :giggle:

I finished the ribbing around the lower edge of the two-piece dress top for the 1:6 doll, just have to seam up the other side, knit the turtle neck & block the pieces to see if they need elastics, snap fasteners, or whatever. Then I can start crossstitching the front panel for the Princess' dress, going to use the chart & leftover floss from the rose-surround for the Guadalupe picture I did. I have a mental picture of how I want the dress to look...

I'm going to use up the other half-pound of shrimp tonight with rice & veggies and make a mug cake of some kind for dessert, probably gingerbread.

Thanks, Muriel. I finished the knitting & will try to get it blocked in the AM before heading out to our next school. I started the crosstitching (HA! what WAS I thinking?!). Supper was good, the "mug cake" gingerbread is yummy.

I am still trying to get back to the Adams, but 'somebody' keeps giving me more full size projects to do !!! Yesterday she drug me (kicking & screaming) to Lowe's to get paint for the dining room remodeling project. This all started with me going to get a few small pieces of molding for the Adams & asking her if she wanted to go with me ! So I came home with new flooring for the dining room ! And then you need to rebuild some cabinets & now it's new paint !! I think as soon as she leaves for work, I'm out to my shop !!

Heidi....We watch Guy on Triple D's. He does find some 'cool' places.

Yes, he does. Fred laughs out loud at the expressions he makes and the words he comes up with. We were disappointed because he came to our area (Foxwoods casino) for a food and wine thing. The tickets were $150 a piece and we just could not see spending that. Loved the one in Baltimore when he hung out with Duff from Ace of Cakes.

:fear: as a hibernating :( `s butt this morning. Brrrr! Must drink ;)! I am going to travel to another dimension today..No not the Twilight Zone..Natalie`s bedroom..doo doo doo doo-doo doo doo doo.

I have to put the plastic up on her windows and I have to bring a machete with me to cut thru the underbrush. If I do not make it back, send out a scouting team to find me.

Isn't it soo frustrating being 'indisposed' on your day off?? I spent the afternoon in bed with a tummy bug, and was so annoyed that it had to be during my precious time off!

Hope you're all better now Anna!

Thank you Muriel, almost back to meself :) again still a little fuzzy though, the meds tend to do that on me.... And you are so right, being forced to take it easy when one wants to have fun and enjoy being home is so NOT fun!!!

I finished the knitted 2-piece dress and redid the doll's hair & dressed her. I have to work on the guy doll's hair and make him a shirt or sweater (I'm partial to another sweater, this time maybe a cabled one). I really didn't like the crossstitching on the front panel of the Princess' dress, so I picked out all the stitches and started over in petitpoint and I like it SO much better! I also redrafted the sleeve pattern. I'm going to have to haunt Joann's to see if they have the really narrow Velcro like Mattel uses on their Barbie clothes, I can't see some little girl patiently buttoning & unbuttoning a long row of round pearl bead buttons up the back.

I was exhausted today, for the last hour it was my friend the school health coordinator & I doing all the screenings.

Afterwards DH & I went and voted, since we'll be be away for two weeks. I love early voting, standing on line on Election Day I'd often forget how I'd planned to vote on it judicial seats and especially the sneaky-Pete amendments.

So, yesterday I got my shop fairly straightened up so I can get back to the Adams. However, the big problem is finding a place to put Ernie's Bus ! I'm out of space & really need to get rid of some houses.

I got the primer coat on my new cabinets in real life ! This morning I have my monthly doctor appt. & after that I'm torn between coming home to continue with my projects or it's farmer's market day & I would like to go there. Decisions...decisions ! I won't decide until I'm in the truck leaving the doctor's office !!

I am breathing new life back into the Emerson Row. She is on the tv table in the living room. Glue is drying from places that seperated. I am going to reinforce all the seams and move forward.

I have from now until Mid-December to make her into a Christmas house. I have a thread in General Mini about a miniature class I am going to teach elementary students at Chelsea`s job.

I was going to make the LE Arthur into the Christmas house but I cannot do it. I plan on giving her to my friend`s grandbaby when she gets older..She is my lil smooshy baby love. Love that baby! I have started talking baby talk again..LOL

So today i will be working on the E. Row..(I hear cheers from Sweden).

I am going to need major help though. I do not have alot of Christmas decor for the house. Now I know what to do with the white wire bed from the MHM..it is dressed in red.

I am going to need presents, wrappings, stockings, a tree, fireplace, toys.

Do not have lots of money to spend on all of this. I am going to need help from my mini friends from far and near to help me. I will beg, borrow and plead for ideas, supplies, and doo-dads.

This will give Chelsea a nice nod from her bosses if I can do this in such a way that the kids are thrilled.

We finally got millions of leaves raked and blown off of the lawn and driveway and now we are getting another cover of the dang things. Sigh!! We now have a foster pup, senior citizen and he is fitting in rather well. Think we will add him permanently to the pack. He and Flynn are having a ball playing in the leaves and generally tearing around. Now Molly our female boxer is not doing so well so she is off to the vets this afternoon. Have not had much energy to deal with minis lately, but am looking forward to Philly.

Went to my development day - learnt about cardiovascular treatments.

Then went to hobbycraft. Had a look at kitchen cabinets and bits, but they're too expensive for me! So got some basswood to make some cabinets instead. I can now make them 'built in' like I wanted, and hopefully they should be a lot cheaper! Just have to keep an eye out for a sink and something for a stove, but it'll take time anyway to make them.

Now watching football (soccer type) while catching up on the forum and doing a bit more homework from today.

Yesterday I was informed we'd be treated to lunch and did I like Subway? (I LOVE Subway!) So after spending four hours testing vision on the rest of the kindergartners, First & Third Graders I was feeling sort of lightheaded and one of the clinic staff poked in her head and said "Lunch is here". Bless their hearts, they "decided" to go to Pizza Hut, instead; I'm on a dedicated low-carb, low-fat diet, and there wasn't even a scrap of salad I could nibble on until I got home, which is where I headed! Still queasy from going so long without eating and then eating a "sandwich" wrap. No "smothered" porkchops tonight, something with LOTS of veggies!

Awww, poor Holly! You'll just have to get DH to take you to Subway next time you're in the neighbourhod.

Kathie, I was thinking I might just have to go to our local cafe again to get a jam pot! Had one last saturday, but of course then I hadn't decided to make my own kitchen

The marmalade one I had was quite shallow though, so will have to look out for a deeper one.

Mmmmm pancakes!

Unfortunately pancakes haven't really arrived in the UK. Occasionally you might get a waffle for desert (but with choc or toffee sauce poured on them) and if you're lucky you might find some for breakfast, but to be honest I can't remember the last time I found pancakes for sale! So no syrup containers either :)

Pancakes is one of the major things I miss from living in Chicago! Everytime I can when I'm in the US I have pancakes! (not there often enough though :))

But I'm keeping my eyes out for alternatives (Just looking at a McDs sweet and sour container, that might work!)
