Rainy day here in SC this morning. It is back to work for me this afternoon. My work hours have been cut back so it is time to tighten the belt. I have made great progress on the spring fling workshop. I did some experimenting with foamboard and spackle. I have found two mediums that I love working with. Expect some 'from scratch' things from me in the future.

Yesterday I built the base for the Adams. The 5/8-inch contractor's foam board was too flimsy and had begun warping up at the front as I glued landscape items to it. I used a piece of 1/4-inch plywood cut a quarter inch bigger than the foam and tacked and glued a 1-1/8-inch lath around the edge as a frame. I'm so proud of myself, I even mitered the corners, although now that it's painted, you can't tell. After the frame was dry, I used a combo of rubber cement and Aileen's Tacky Glue to glue the foam panel into the frame. It makes for a nicely finished look, and the unit is quite sturdy now.

I debated gluing the house to the base but have decided not to, at least for now, simply to make it easier to maneuver the two sections as I work on them. I need to add more landscaping items to the base, and not having the house in the way will make that a bit easier.

Today the sun is out, so I think I'll get in some yard work. Tomorrow and through the week will bring more April showers. And tomorrow I'm going to start on the Spring Fling Workshop. I can see it finished in my head and need to clear that out to make room for other images!

The sun is shinning here in SWMO and the temps are suppose to be up in the 70's today and tomorrow...not sure what we will do this weekend but Im sure with DH working it wont be anything exciting!

he has to work on miss Catie's van...the altenator went out this week and the battery will need to be replaced. we made her quit her job as her grades were going downhill and that is unacceptable.

so I think she will go looking for something more agreeable with her schooling today.

I want to start my purge but not sure what to do with everything....going to have a huge garage sale but have no room ANY where to put stuff as I go through and purge. we are bursting at the seams with all of our CRAP!

I may endup doing NOTHING all day. work is tiring and I wanna play on the pooter and stay in my jammies! is that BAD?

missing Miss T....I know she is having fun at the Bishop show! wish I was there!

please note to all

I will be attending the next show in Chicago with Miss Tracy...as she is threatning to do me bodily harm if I do not

not sure when or if its a Bishop show...but I know I have to be there or ELSE!

LOL....so lets start planning now.

I am still piddling along with the 1st and 2nd floor foyers in the BH... At this rate, it will be a long time before I get around to putting the front wall on--

I figure I better get in there and do all the trim I can, however, while I can still get to it...

We have alot to do tomorrow. It seems to me there should be 3 days for a weekend.. I dont get a day to rest. We were busy all day today first off to the vet for the bad news, I still have not broke it to the boys yet, I know my youngest will be devastated. and I am not ready for that. ! I am really upset over this little pup, she is just so sweet & Darling. I really hate that there is nothing I can do at this point. I am going to try to get a scond opionon. The vet we seen today really scared me.. she said that the hernia could end up coming out and it would also bring along her intestines. I have read several articles online that say that they go away as the pup gets older but I am afraid that if it does not go away and that does happen it would be much more tramitic to the boys than just finding her a new home now. I will be praying every day this week for an answer. I have to wash all my work clothes, the whole 3 shirts & 3 pants!

I have not worked on any of the dollhouses for a while now, been too busy working and trying to spend all my time with the boys.!

Have had this little annoying cough for a copule of days now and woke up with fever... Bummed out a little but then again as I had some difficulties sleeping as well I have "planned" most of a Chicago visit as well, admittedly while running a fever, but I am sure it would work...

I am so sorry you are not feeling well Anna. Are you seriously thinking of coming to the US next year?

Oh if you are I am going to have to try and make plans because I want to meet you in the flesh!

I planted some seeds yesterday. Yellow squash, zucchini, bush beans, and sunflowers. My tomoato plants are doing okay. I have quite a few survivors..yeah!

I have no idea what I am going to do today. Natalie has homework to finish up..she has been threatened that I wont pick up her concert tickets if she doesnt finish. I do not like to use threats but she is being lazy about her work.

So far Fred and I havent caught the flu.. I hope not! I would end up in bed dying of thirst if that happened. Kids love when you take care of them but they do not like it to be reversed.

Oh I wanted to share the saga of the chihauhaus...They still havent found a home for them. I found out why the two dogs are not fixed though.

According to THEM, fixed chihauhaus get fat and their legs become stumpy. So they didnt have them fixed for vanity reasons! Can you believe that???

Thanks Heidi, and yes I am seriously contemplating it, all dependingon if we do get forward and actually purchase the house now or another one later on... (keeping fingers crossed for now LOL )

And that would be soooo cool to actually get to meet up in RL!

Nope. Not in this day and age! And it's not too late to have it done.

You are not kidding about their reason for not spaying them are you???? I mean sheesh, that is just sooooo :D on them, dogs can take care of their weight issues if they are allowed to play and have walks...

Some people, huh?!?

No not kidding at all. I went over to visit because the Dd had her new baby. I was playing with the dogs and had to say again that Fred says No. She said..Well if you change your mind I will help you pay for the spay. But I have to warn you that they will lose their sleek bodies and their legs will start to look like tree trunks!

Some people...she makes me not want the dogs more and more.

I am relatively happy not having to pick up poo droppings and mopping up pee puddles..thank you very much.

My house smells relatively clean nowadays without the dog in the house. We do have litter but we are maniacal about keeping it clean.

As you said Heidi, some people!!!! Sheesh!

I can understand you wanting to take them home with you though! But then again I can understand Fred too....

Mostly because we are in the same situation ourselves with an urge for taking in a new furbaby with us, yet no real time to devote to him/her so it will be on hold for a while longer atleast...

ROFL!

I say all that about dogs and look at what I have done. I brought THE dog into the house.

Going out to breakfast today with Fred. I am going to be meeting his best friends new girlfriend. This will be interesting.

I have errands to run today too..

Mohegan Sun Casino to pick up concert tickets for Natalie

Petco for dog shampoo (she needs a bath)

Grocery shopping

and any other lil things I think need to get done out and about.

Back to work today. ;) I v'e been off(vacation) for 9 days. I've been able to just work on my house and hang out with my babie's, my Min Pin"s, the entire time. The first day back is alway's the hardest. Especially now because we have new management and I'm sure, after 7 seven years, things are going to be different. But, I just have to smile and suck it up so I don't lose my 'mini's income".

Well I had planned to take all the wallpaper of my Garfield, but a costumer called and there goes my plan ;) . I hardly had the time to get the grocery in time and forgot the laundry and with dinnertime on the clock I can shake it. No Garfield today! But hé where should I be without my costumer? They pay my hobby :birthday: .

While I want to work on the Buttercup (and Matt wants me to, too, since the box of supplies is taking up a lot of space and requires walking around, LOL), I really have a lot of other projects that need completing this month. I'm going to cut the pieces of ply I bought for my extra bashing just to reduce the storage space for the ply, and then I think I may have to tuck the doll house a way for a while.

I need to work on my wedding gown (have to change the pattern for the petticoat - the pleats aren't working!), and finish designing the invitation so we can get a sample weighed to confirm postage costs, and then my brother asked me to finish his website this month in time for an industry event at the beginning of May. I'm afraid the Buttercup just doesn't outrank a wedding and a sibling!

Day Off Day Off Day Off!!!!

:):):):p

I'm gonna finish the fairfield today

100% done-o

The Lincoln Springfield box has been officially opened, so the Prez will be next

Also working on my personal honey-do list:

clean out the upper portion of our bedroom closet (lower area got done a few weeks ago)

hose the pollen off the back deck

9million loads of laundrey

grocery store run for more stirfry stuff. Last night the Cooking Son made stirfry of chicken, fresh asparagus, carrots in a spicy orange sauce. Yummy! Finicky son Kellan has gone to Orlando with the HS marching band for 3 days, so we are celebrating this small vacation from an eye-rolling 16 year old (love him, but we ALL need a break) with wonderful vegies and spices he usually picks around on his plate.

I had a good day today. I was in a joyful mood all morning long and into the day. I went out early to the bank and then the grocery store for essentials.

Did some housework, played with the dog, played Guitar Hero, did a small bit of pick up around the house.

Nat is off at her friends house for the night and Chelsea is at a benefit music show for the local homeless shelter.

Fred is swearing at Guitar Hero as we speak..ROFL

I even thought of another idea for a swap I am in and got the supplies at AC Moore. Fred is working this weekend so I can work on the goodies for that tomorrow.
